I know this may sound stupid, but I have no clue how I can take items from a pokemon. I got a pokemon in a trade that has a stone but don't know how to take it from him. Can somebody help me?

Simply visit that pokémon's private page and scroll down to the bottom :)
You'll see a button that says 'Take (item name)'
