She blinked, and moved her glasses up. "There are 7 rules.." she said shyly. I'm going to fail this... She sighed. "One of those 7 is to Expose the Secret Agendas.. She stared at the teacher, hoping her nightly studies helped her.

Juni- She was worried. She knew what some of them where.

Pandora- "Morning, my name I'd Ms. Taylor but you may call me Pandora." She turned back to Nikki. "There are more than 7 but the one you named is correct. This would mean if they are making false accusations for money or something else. Isaac name one." She wrote down more stuff on the black board. It now read:

Sami quickly scampered to an empty seat in class, trying not to make noise. She blushed in embarrassment, and took out her notebook. She read them over as she listened to the class, making the occasional note in her book.

Sami stuttered, and looked at her notes. "Well...you need to have good evidence to make a case. The opponent cant have any way to prove it irrelevant, right?" Sami said. She was extremely nervous, and tried to be as smart as possible.

Pandora- "True. You need evidence that can't be thrown out no matter what." She wrote it down. "Ms. Hizora since you seem so eager."

Juni- "You need to have a fair jury, dig up all dirt that may make or break the case. The jury needs to be in your favor as much as possible. And never ask your client if they're guilty unless the situation calls for it."

Pandora- "Very good. I want to see you all as smart or smarter than her by the time you graduate." She wrote it down.

Orion- Overall, I think one of the most important rules of being a lawyer in court, would be etiquette. Last thing the judge wishes to see is you coming to court dressed in anything but your sunday best and you being polite and well mannered.

Pandora- "What you wear can't hurt but isn't related to winning a case. But being polite wont hinder. That's just manners." She sighed it was going to be hard to teach this lot. "Can anyone tell me something else that can make or break a case? If not I have a case for you to work on. Oh and there's a ranking system. Helping me win cases and participating in class are the only things that go into it besides attendance."

Pandora- "Lets move onto the case then."

"Geez, that's a real over-statement" Sami thought to herself. She did like practicing cases, so she sat up straight, eager as ever. She wanted a good ranking, ever since she got interested in law, she wanted to be considered a good lawyer.

Below is just a comment from me as any other user and does not need to be listened to. It's simply me being unable to not talk about law xD

History tells us that appearances actually matter quite a lot in court cases ^^ Take for example the case of OJ Simpson. Marcia Clark, the head of prosecution, constantly showed up late and was believed to be too pushy by the jury. This caused a large amount of dislike towards her even before the trial really started.

Also, I've just come back from being an intern at a corporate law firm. The first thing that one of the partners taught me is that appearances matter. What the judge sees when you walk in will affect how he treats you. Although judges don't have a lot of power in American/Canadian courts, how the judge treats you will change how the jury sees you - which matters a lot.

Pandora- "No it's a case of child neglect. The parents left their 4 year old daughter with a sitter. The sitter, Jonnah Stevens, left the child alone for 1 out of the 2 days she was left with her. The girl, Caroline Roberts, didn't have access to food or water. The parents are filing a lawsuit. What are the defense going to argue and how can we argue against it?" She smiled, "Just tell me."

"Well we would need to know about the defendant in question, depending on whether they are young or older would give the defence a chance to plead minors irresponsibility whereas if it was an older person we would shoot back with daycare liability and show that the defendant isn't in a state to be taking care of children." Orion says from the front of the class. He looks in front of him for an answer.

Pandora- "Good. But the defendant is a family friend of theirs. She didn't get paid or anything. She is 25 and has no rap sheet. Get to work!" She looked at the rest of the class, "That is what I want from you! And I guess that dressing well won't hurt. Shows that you aren't sloppy or unprofessional."

Sami slumped in her seat, and started writing down notes, and what evidence there was. Some-how it turned into one big chart with almost in-readable notes only Sami could really understand. She tried getting all of her notes together, and read them over and added to them several times.
