Sage stopped humming suddenly, sitting up straight and looking around. She spotted the girl from earlier and noticed she seemed to be looking for something.
Is she talking about me? ...Did she hear me humming?

Sage stood and walked a few steps closer to her. "I-I think you heard me humming." She spoke, a bit nervous, as she always was when speaking to those she didn't know.

(Then there are those moments where I honestly have no clue what to do/write so I just end up with a few sentences instead, whoops.)

A pair of birds flew by, catching Sage's attention as she turned to watch them. She heard a faint scratching sound and noticed another girl who appeared to drawing in the dirt. Curious, she stopped a few moments to watch.

I wonder what she's drawing. Sage thought, unable to make out the picture from the distance. She certainly seems focused on it.

Sage jumped slightly, startled a bit by the girl's sudden outburst. Focusing again on the picture, she tried to work out what it was but couldn't quite tell. It certainly looked nice, though.
