I got home from work and checked my daycare, and it had said "Your current balance is -900."
I paid if off, but then I thought it was weird since it says you have to pay in advance?

This usually happens, when the server has been down for a while. The DayCare keeps breeding [and the chance to get an egg remains], because it's not receiving a 'there's no PD left' warning.
