Now that I've been on PokeHeroes for a little while, I finally have a few goals. I'll be updating this list frequently once I achieve a goal or decide on a new one.

It's finally
time for an actual journal post! Hi, I'm Kylo. But you knew that
already, didn't you?
It's kind of weird how quickly time passes when you're not sure that you want it to. I'm moving across the country at the end of next month, and I'm starting to realize that I only have a few weeks left to enjoy my favorite things about my hometown. I wouldn't normally call myself a sentimental person, but I guess in this situation, I am.
I'm excited to be somewhere new and experience new things, but I'll miss so many random small things about where I live. The bubble tea place where the cashier knows my order, and where it actually tastes like the tea in Singapore. Seeing the mountains on the horizon and knowing that I could be there in 30 minutes. Most of all, the pine trees.
Thankfully, I'm not that worried about making new friends. Even though I'm a very intense, narcissistic, and (at times) aggressive person IRL, people seem to like me. I don't understand it. I certainly won't complain about it though!

today was
100% the best day of my life so far aaaaa I had so much fun!!
It was the second day of Sakura-Con, the anime convention in my city. All day I had people yelling "KYLO!" at me, which makes me happy.
Someone yelled across the hall at me "WHY DID YOU KILL YOUR FATHER?" and then they started chasing me???? and I saw it was a Leia cosplayer so I just ran lmao people were laughing :')
My friend took a picture of me and an awesome Matt the Radar Technician, as well as one of me and a super cute Rey. I'm hoping she will send the pictures to me soon so I can post them here.
I kept on seeing that Rey randomly throughout the day and so I would always yell "YOU NEED A TEACHER" at her and she would turn and look at me and yell back "SHUT UP KYLO"
She also gave me a fake rose and then informed me that she found that in the trash can and thought of me... scavengers are so weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Then I went and had dinner with some friends I haven't seen in a while, and no one else was in cosplay except me (because I didn't want to change and then change back like they did because my armor and robes take a long time to put on) and they told me that I look so emo

At the end of the day was a Star Wars photoshoot. We took a lot of fun pictures like all of us Kylos hugging the one Darth Vader cosplayer, and one of a Hux cosplayer yelling at me. o:
Then, because almost all of us had glowing lightsabers, we crashed the rave that was going on nearby and made a big dance circle with all of our lightsabers. Then the entire rave was centered around us after that lmao
Then after the rave was over we just talked for a long time about Star Wars. omg... I never get to talk about Star Wars with anyone IRL and I am... just... SUCH A HUGE STAR WARS NERD UGH so it was so great and it totally made my day!!!
THEN on the way home, my brother and I were waiting for the light rail train, and the security guards saw my cosplay and started freaking out about Star Wars so I got to talk to them about it too!! One of them asked me if I think Rey is a Kenobi or a Skywalker so I told them. c;it's pretty obvious what I

and now it's 2am and I can't sleep because i am SO HAPPY and so excited to go to the last day of con tomorrow and cosplay as Kylo again and see my new Star Wars friends aaaa I can't contain how happy I am!!!

Like most of
the world I'm pretty much addicted to Pokémon GO. It's so weird to
see something I've loved since I was a little kid suddenly become
popular again. That's happened to me twice now this year... Star
Wars and Pokémon. I'm certainly not complaining; it's really nice
to be able to talk about my favorite things with people!
I picked Charmander as my starter on PokéGO. Charmy is actually my least favorite Kanto starter, but I already knew I was going to choose Team Valor (THE ONLY CORRECT CHOICE OF COURSE) and it seemed fitting. Plus, fire types seem kind of rare where I live. Squirtle and Bulbasaur have been sighted near me.
When the game came out, I was actually on vacation in the middle of the desert with no phone/internet service, so I was really surprised when I got back to Las Vegas and had a billion texts from my friends asking me if I have the game/who I picked/etc. I was so pissed that the game came out while I was gone but it's all good now lmao
My vacation was great though. I was at a lake in Arizona with some family that I don't get to see very often. One of my cousins loves Star Wars as much as I do which is a miracle tbh! She is even cool with the Problematic Thing™ that I ship ayyyy
Other than that I did a lot of wakesurfing, wakeboarding, & tubing. It was fun. I'm happiest when I can actually convince myself to go outside and enjoy time with people. I should do that more often.

I'm feeling
so empty again.
I really hate this feeling. I should care that I'm moving in 2 days, but I don't. Everything that I like seems uninteresting and not worth doing anymore. I know that I'm sliding back down the slope, but I don't even care about that.
Anyway, I'm not going to have internet for the next two weeks because my depressed butt didn't have the energy to call to set up internet in my new apartment until today, and they can't install it for 2 weeks. So, all of my shiny hunts/the opening of my gym are on hold until then. I'll probably be on my tumblr a little bit during that time if anyone wants to find me for some strange reason.

So... it's
been over a year since I played on PokeHeroes.
Oops. I'm back (hopefully).
Why did I leave for so long? I basically quit as soon as I started grad school. Not intentionally, but I picked up Pokemon Go hardcore and between that and all my research/course requirements, I didn't have much free time.
I just hit level 40 in Pokemon Go (can't level up anymore until they add more levels) and I'm becoming more efficient in completing my school requirements, so hopefully I'll have lots more time for shiny hunting on here!
Overall, grad school is going well! I'm incredibly busy, but I enjoy 90% of it. The lab I'm working in does research on inflammation, anxiety, and depression, and soon I'll get to work in the hospital, which is where I ultimately want to end up. I've made some great friends here in the Midwest, and while I don't think I like the cold (-40 F wind chill?!?!?!), things aren't too bad here. I get to travel a lot for work, and I love traveling~!
I have no idea what I want to do on here now that I'm back. I was apparently in the middle of a shiny Deino hunt, so I'll finish that up and then maybe try to shiny hunt an Alolan Pokemon. Rockruff is my absolute favorite of the new Pokemon, so I might try that~ <3
