My father told me that.
He said it was during the beginning of our era. The beginning of hell.
It was a quote from Beyoncé, a beautiful singer-song writer. Ironic how someone so perfect, would talk against it. In my life I've never encountered someone to talk down what makes our life whole. Where I come from, beauty is the most powerful thing you can have, it's what keeps you alive.

My name is Pericaliya, it means "exceeding beauty". I live along the shores of Alayna. Perfect beach, perfect weather, what can you expect? Everything must be perfect, or it will never be heard of again.
Our houses are spacious, mansions as one during Beyoncé's age would call them. Perfectly furnished by what is trending with the government. We aren't allowed to decorate them ourselves because our ideas are rubbish, just like we are.

"Mother I'm home!" I quickly rushed to my room before she could start her long story about her day and about all the glitter, lip gloss, and other facial knickknacks she accommodated today.
I hung my backpack in the closet and landed on my chair in front of the desk, doing a twirl in my seat while doing so. From the desk I pulled out a blank, white paper and a pencil, I was considering making just a black and white drawing today. I sat in complete silence as I waited for an idea to materialize. Within a mere couple of minutes I was sketching the story. It would be a white bear shading on the end of an ice berg with fire in his eyes, gazing upon the horizon. I began with a basic sketch, just to get the general shape correct, then I drew over the basic sketch with another one, put with finer details; I added shading and highlights, and not long after I had a complete drawing.
I stared at it for a while, trying to get every last detail of it in before it would get destroyed. I heard a knock at my door and I quickly hid the drawing in a drawer before whomever was there could come in, thankfully it was just my father.
"Sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to startle you". He walked over and kissed my head. "So, what were you working on" he asked as he attempted to analyze my desk for anything that would catch his eye.
"Another drawing" I replied, "anything to prevent mom from rambling about things that wont matter in a week".
My father chuckled and watched as I drew the paper from my desk. "Brilliant!" applauded my father, "I love how the fire contradicts the ice and snow. Wherever did you find the inspiration?"
"I don't know, it just appeared in my brain and I drew it".
"Interesting". He continued to watch it, to read it, I could see the sorrow in his eyes and knew everything he was thinking. It made me sad too. He finally gave me a nod, and I knew what it meant. I reached over for the paper shredder and pulled it between us, with one final look I took the paper and put it inside the machine. Inch by inch it was ripped away, dead to the world. The air after was quiet, as if the world was mourning its loss too.
It was minutes after that my father finally broke the silence, "You know if you become an artist, and work with the government, you wouldn't have to go through the deletion process. Sure you wouldn't be able to draw from your own creation, but your art would stay".
I looked past my wall as I replied, "art is nothing without meaning". The silence resurfaced. This time my father didn't even attempt to break it, he just quietly left to leave me to my thoughts, my dark thoughts.

My world is cruel. Our people are in constant fear of imperfection, one mistake would lead to tremendous consequences. If a child is bored ugly, they are killed on the spot. If a person loses a physically noticeable limb, they are euthanized. Every month we are weighed to make sure we do not face obesity, those who are get taken away; sometimes they come back, if their thinner, but other times they don't.
Some mistakes are allowed, as long as they're fixed. People with freckles are givin cream to correct it. Women with too small breasts get surgery for bigger ones. Men with lack of muscles are put on protein diets and excersize classes.
We put in about half our day making sure we're beautiful, the other half flaunting it. My schedule starts with a morning cleaning, afterwards beauty stylists come in and fix my hair and makeup, while the stylist work, I look up what today's beauty "Hot Tips" are for my skin tone, from then I decide what outfit I shall wear, I get my accessories picked by the stylists, my nails painted, and a final drink before I head to school. Over half my school day is spent on nutrition and excersizing to stay in shape, only a quarter of it is spent learning traditional scholarly lessons. Three in the afternoon is when school is over and the rest of the day is free for us to either go shopping, watch movies, or try to "get lucky" with someone. When night rolls around, everyone has to take sleeping pills to ensure we get out "beauty sleep", we're not forced to take them, but it's for the best.
I hate this life. The world Father talks about is similar to ours now, but at least then you still had options. Beauty wasn't a government law, just a social law. But the people changed.

- Parents breed in the Daycare in the Pokemon world
- Egg was left with the Daycare Man, who kept it until was hatched
- Man noticed Prince's bright eyes, realized it would attract dangerous creatures, and taught them Protect before releasing them
- Prince worked to strengthen their Protect
- A while passes
- Prince's parents die in Boxtown, unknown to them; Boxtown gems (unable to open portals) remain dormant to choosing a new heir, causing panic in the Kingdom
- An Espurr opens a portal to the Pokemon world, activating the Boxtown gems to shoot through the portal to Prince, where they transform into a tiara. A group of Espurrs hurriedly follow the gems and locate Prince. After brief celebration, they drag Prince to the Boxtown dimension, and explain to them that their parents (the King and Queen) are dead, making them the new ruler. They are given a tour, a lesson on what ruling Boxtown will be like, and a quick tutorial on making Boxtown-Pokemon world portals. They also adopt the name Prince after being called the Prince so much
- They temporarily return to the Pokemon world to let their brain process the information
- They encounter Lolo and save her from immediate danger by bringing her through the portal into Boxtown. There they are explained that other Pokemon aren't allowed into Boxtown because it violates a treaty signed many generations ago. Prince returns to the Pokemon world with Lolo to serve as her protector and emotional support
- Prince evolves

- Lolo is hatched from a breeder
- Breeder sells Lolo to family to be their pet
- Family's son chooses to become a Pokemon trainer, and to travel the world with Lolo, to which she eagerly agrees

- Son and Lolo are caught up in a battle with Team Rocket grunts, Lolo starts evolving, partway though evolution Team Rocket grunts order their Pokemon to use Smokescreen, turning everything black; Lolo's unfinished evolving DNA becomes confused and starts creating remaining unfinished DNA into Umbreon DNA. They defeat the grunts and flee
- Grunts report the incident and Lolo becomes a target for Team Rocket
