(If it's 'vertical', that's normal, because that doesn't count; it doesn't use all three columns.)

Have you checked your Item Bag?
(Even if there's no pop-up, the prize still appears in your bag)
I spin in non-ani mode all the time, spamming the spin-button so I won't have to deal with pop-ups and later on check my item bag for my prizes.

EDIT: It's not happening again, but I'm worried that it'll pop up when I'm doing legendary mode.

It's been come to light that the animation sometimes stops [stopped?] prematurely. Luckily, the prize is decided as soon as you click the button. If no prize is handed out, it stopped early, but you haven't been cheated out of a prize.
Purely a visual bug.
