I personally think there should be an option to hide or show our signiture when posting or making a new thread. This would be pretty useful for users who have quite a lot on their signitures (Like me) and if you want to keep your threads nice and tidy - especially when making Diaries.

To be honest, I really need this feature for my diary thread, and may be useful for other users and other purposes as well...

When posting or making a new thread, above the 'Preview' and 'Post' button, there could be a check box which you could tick or untick if you want to show or hide your signiture on each post and thread you make.

Why not put everything in a hide tag instead? I tried that and it works.

I'll be honest, T_T but I hate putting things into spoiler boxes - especially in signitures... It doesn't look good.
All I want is to hide my siginiture on certain threads/posts, not all of them.

Spoiler Boxes will be shown anyways. I would want to hide the whole of my signiture.

Don't have a signiture yet, but I do support.
This would be a good feature to have.

I really like and want to support this suggestion.

And I think everybody should have the option to hide everybodys signature in the main settings too. Especially for epileptic people, that could be helpful.

Not a must in my opinion, but I can see how it would be handy to have in some cases.

I like Sturmtochter's additional suggestion. Would also help those who still have bad internet connections as well as those who simply find signatures distracting for one reason or another.

I support Sturmtocher's part, as well. Actually, I'd find that one more useful, kind of. :P

This would help me if it also applies to PMs. I support! ^^
(I think the signature space is smaller in PMs.)

Signitures in PM's are smaller, but it would be better if you could atleast disable them. Good idea Carpet.

I would love to support this feature! Especially with some settings, like disabling all signature or just the ones that are taller than X pixel, maybe. Most signatures are pretty nice but I already saw some with ridiculous (I hate spelling this word, don't wanna look it up) huge pictures.

Disabling all signatures would be a handy thing as well. Ive seen users with really flashy gifs in their signatures, and it hurts my eyes and also lags the game for me.

So far having come to this thread I found my first possible bothersome signature on Mushroom, not only is it large but that animation can become an eye sore to watch. Other than that however all the signatures I have seen are decent sized and simple graphics. Though I understand this opinion and will support you.

No is one bothered by my signature are they? I had actually resized it after applying it and then having the preview reveal how large the image actually was. Hence the quote being a bit difficult to read.

I think flashy stuff shouldn't be allowed as it can cause a bad reaction from epilepsy people, but a way to prevent one from seeing those would be great. I don't have epilepsy, and still my head hurts and I don't feel right when I see those.

I agree. I guess smooth gifs can be allowed, as long as they are not huge.

Your right, my signiture is quite flashy, which is why I support this, and this needs to be implemented
