Hello fellow Banders! I assume your here because.. Well, your a band geek! I couldn't find the other band thread, so I decided to make a new one :D
Here, you can meet other band people, discuss pieces your playing, why you play what you do, and other band stuff you want to talk about ^^

Alright, here's my form ^^
Im a Band Geek!
User: Four
What do/did you play?: I am currently playing the F horn. Learning the Barri Sax.
How long have you been playing?: Hmm.. 5 years :3 Played my 6th and 7th grade, then I had to skip a year. Then played again Freshman year, and is still playing ^^
Favorite song you've ever played?: Hmm.. ATM, "Quad City Stomp."
Why did you choose to play what you did?: Why I chose the horn... Hmm. Im not really sure. I always wanted to play the guitar. But that never happned XD When I went to my 1st band "open gym" as sport players call it, I saw it, and immediately fell in love. Ever since 6th grade, I've played the Horn. So yea XD
Anything else you want to say?: Go band : D!!

What do/did you play?: The C flute
How long have you been playing?: I played it for a total of 5 years. I stopped when I switched to a different school due to a move last year. I miss my old band.
Favorite song you've ever played?: Some sort of Pirates of the Caribbean medley. I loved it.
Why did you choose to play what you did?: I honestly didn't choose it. I had wanted to play the clarinet, but was forced onto the flute instead. I hated it for months before figuring out I am actually good at it, thereby liking it.
Anything else you want to say? Band is hella lol

What was your least favorite song to play in band?
For me...I absolutely hated playing Louie Louie. Not because it was hard, but because it got annoyingly repetitive playing it every single day multiple times in my band lol
And it wasn't just me either, my entire band got so sick of it we'd all start begging our director to choose a different song. XD

Anyways... My least favorite song.. Im not sure. I sorta like all the ones we've played.. Idk. I dont remember all the songs we have played XD
EDIT:
Oh yes.. We got Dr. Who music today. There's freaking 12/8 time in it.. What the heck .~. ... Its fun though XD

I would feel so dangerous holding my flute in class if that were the case omfg
Ohhh I just noticed he's holding the flute on the correct side too. Every one seems to hold it wrong for whatever reason. I mean, granted he's got it at a weird angle, but that's because he's holding it with one hand lol
What is that from anyway? If you know, of course.

I. Can't even deny that I do that. I'll subconsciously watch everyone's feet so I can match time with them. I've also found that I watch my peripherals more often than not.
Marching band is weird like that I guess.

What do/did you play?: Bb Trumpet+Piano
How long have you been playing?: 7 yrs. and 11 yrs.
Favorite song you've ever played?: Florentiner March and Black&White Rag
Why did you choose to play what you did?: Trumpet seemed interesting, they are loud and metal. That was what I thought in fifth grade :). Now, I like it because fanfares are fun. Piano started against my will, but I got motivated watching the professionals do their job 0-0.
