ok,so here is how it will work
now I cannot make those examples so I will explain it as best as I can
You know those times when you need to delete a topic you made,why wait for someone to close it for you,when you can close it yourself. This will only work for your topics as using it for other topics is unfair
there will be a button by next to the report button,to delete the thread itself and all posts in it,because it would have been closed anyways,you wouldn't have to worry about all the posts in the thread being deleted

I searched the forum, and it seems nobody has suggested this yet.

Actually, it has been suggested and rejected in the past.

This thread actually lists reasons why a thread shouldn't be deleted (fair reasons, I might add) by normal users, but is a suggestion to lock them instead.

I am still going through the search feature, and am sure I'll find at least one thread suggesting this very same thing. When I do, I'll edit a link to it in this post.

this is COMPLETELY different
they were saying INSTEAD of locking a thread as thesis for deleting it quicker,and/or on your own

that is true but this is for only the owner so there will be no reason to just lock the thread,just take a screen sot if you are not sure or keep it,you do not have to give support if you don't wan't to ;)

What Navuso said. It is a moderator's job to lock and delete threads and users could abuse this function so it will be as it is now. I'm locking this.
