I suggest to add No switching button.Switching is very annoying. Many users i battle are spamming switching.Like Al mode there should be No switching mode.

Also as Navuso said,Ghost types and normal types cannot effect eachother. So i suggest to add "Ask opponent to switch pokemons"

I support, This would be helpful due to most of my battles are people switching to get a type advantage.

Isn't that the point of trying to win a battle?
I mean, it'd get boring if you couldn't switch and you have two Pokemon that barely do any damage to each other and you keep going back and forth and they only do like 10 damage. It would get kind of annoying too, and it would make the battle unnecessarily longer.

So, no support from me.

Title: Will destroy the purpose of strategy.

No support. What if the enemy throws up a pokemon for example that's water? And you're fire? You of course can't switch out so there's no strategy there..your pokemon will faint. No support.
Battles are supposed to be strategic, but if you can't switch out, 68% of the strategies are reduced. (at least 68% of my strategies..)

Sorry man..but they made that feature for a reason.

And what doopliss said, what if 2 pokemon have terrible attack stats and they only do 1 damage to each other, and then when one of them FINALLY wins..the other one super heals. It'll get super boring AND annoying.

Its a really bad idae.Withiut switches, what is the purpose of the battle? It would be totally dependant on our luck than skill and strategy.

Sorry no support. It would be annoying if you were stuck in a battle with the other Pokemon stronger than your Pokemon and you can't switch out.

There's one match up that I have had happen that is a very very very good reason to not have this.

Bannette vs Furfrou (Pure ghost vs Pure normal)

If that happens, it's a full deadlock if you can't switch out or you have no other pokemon.

Oh i forgot about that Navu. There should be a Ask the opponent to change pokemon button.
Both users should change pokemons so there would be no problem.

Oh no please no, I'm sorry, but this suggestion just can't be implemented.

It turns battling into a Rock, Paper, Scissors game. Zero strategy, just favorables matchups. The one that has the better matchup against the other one team, automatically wins the battle. No skill, just luck.

Edit: and you forgot a very important thing about switching that turns it into balanced: if you use it, you lose a turn. In that turn you can just damage the opponent's switch-in. And if it keeps going, you will eventualy win.

All the way up @barath, the reason you don't support this is because this will negatively affect you. I think that you should be able to do this, but ONLY in an extremely unfair type disadvantage. Also, you could only click the button once, and if it is determined to be an actual disadvantage for the battler, the pokemon would be force-switched.

Or, you could just quit the battle.

No support. You switch pokemon in battles in the actual games and its the same on here. If you don't like how the pokemon battle system works then don't play it. O-o

@GamingAbsol ~ You mean it will negatively affect both sides. As I stated in my last post, not being able to switch Pokemon in and out would make the battle boring, and make it unnecessarily longer. And like SpicyPants stated, that's how normal Pokemon battles are supposed to work.

I mean, unless you want your team to get crushed when the other team has better Pokemon against a certain type you have, I would want to be able to switch them in and out.
Even doing that doesn't give you a better advantage against the other team, only a little help.

Zero support. As for reasons stated above, switching is the point of strategy. You have the ability to switch just as much as the opponent, so if they switch then you switch. If it just turns into a switch-fest then just learn what they're going to switch out based on the pokemon you have out and send out something else or even just continue attacking. Predicting the opponents moves and Type Advantages are an important part of what pokemon is about battle wise.

Edit: Holy Goomy I did not realize this topic was so old, I'm so sorry ;A;
