Sam nodded "I'll do that, thanks" she said kindly. She glanced at Rick, and Lan. "I'll uh tell you how that goes later..." She said partially awkwardly. She wasn't sure where she'd go to ask for a job, but she wouldn't ask them about it.

"Also, here's some food. I figured you'd be hungry." Lan pulled out a bowl of fruit and berries, it would be enough to saturate a pokemon of small size, like Sam, until dinner at least.

Sam looked at the berries and fruit and nodded a thanks. "Thank you" she said kindly. Though she tried to sound kind she couldn't help but feel awkward why are they even helping me? she thought to herself in confusion. She never ran into anyone human, or Pokemon, who were as nice as Lan, and Rick. She shook her head clear, and looked around.

Sam nodded "yeah I can manage" she meowed softly. "I'll see you guys later" she said over her shoulder before she went back against the current of the river, and back into town.

"Oh okay," Lan said, as he watched Sam leave. He turned to Rick, who was now sitting on the river's edge, playing with the rushing water. "You ready to go yet?" Rick asked. Lan looked at Sam again, and sighed. "Yeah," he said, "Sure, let's go."

Sam walked along the river, and sighed. "Let's see....I need to find a way to get my own place.." She mumbled softly.

Sam continued through town when she heard a Pokemon cry for help. Walking over to the voice, she saw a Politoad asking around for a missing Poliwag. "Hey is something wrong?" Sam asked, and went to the Pokemon. Politoad looked up.

"My son...he went into the Berry Plains yesterday, and didn't return" Politoad said in fear. Sam nodded Saffron went in berry plains yesterday...maybe she began to herself, and froze.

"I could go looking for him. I ran into him before he left yesterday anyway." She said softly. Politoad looked up grateful.

"Thank you so much" she said kindly. Sam nodded, and went back along town she then looked at the map of the surrounding areas, and ran to the plains.

(oh god sorry I've been REEEEEAL busy the last few days
I might be gone for multiple days like this again ^-^")
Rick was leading Lan to their mission, with a map in hand. It was kind of odd to Rick. Lan had never really acted toward anyone else like he had with Sam. It was odd, and worrisome as well. Rick feared they might be hiding something from him, but maybe it was just him being jealous.

Sam was deep in thought as she walked toward Berry Plains. She passed Lan, and Rick on her way out of town.
