Ill try and make this short and simple.
I am doing a duel contest for art and short stories.My characters Will be the subjects for the short stories.
All SHORT STORIES SHOULD BE SENT IN PM OR ON HERE.

For the art piece I am looking for a brand new character that I can love and enjoy. It can be any species and any art style as long as its a reference sheet for the character. THERE WILL BE 3 CHOSEN CHARACTERS

Rules:
1. All ph rules apply.
2. Must be 100% your work I will be checking.
3. Must be okay with me posting the art on multiple sites aka my facebook, instagram, toyho.se etc. (ALL WORK WILL BE CREDITED)
4. Password is my Favorite color (if you dont know palpad or PM me)
5. Feel free to ask me anything at all.

Question: How short is a short story to you? Is there a word/page limit?

Wish I could do the art contest, I have a character idea I think you'd love but I can't draw to save my life XD

a story with a fully developed theme but significantly shorter and less elaborate than a novel.

So it can beas short as a couple paragraphs or as long as needed <3

Other: Their name is Avery! They're non-binary. Once a feathered dragon, they decided to stay grounded on Earth because they fell in love with all the humans and everything on it. They became a mechanic to help people the best they could. They're clumsy, so they always have a bandaid on them somewhere. They love crop tops, overalls, and any platform shoes they can fit into. Please don't mind the photography ;-; I tried. The sketch won't be 100% the same but it's the basic idea of what I wanted to draw. Excuse my horrible handwriting too - I'll re-write that in the 'others' bit.

Other: So - It's supposed to be a seahorse/dragon hybrid thingy. Slightly poisonous (The spike things on it's back inject poison if touched) ~~and the antidote can only be found in it's saliva~~. It can live above and under water; it's fins act as wings out of water. It's fins/wings are translucent and, thus, delicate. The spots shift colors in the light and glow in the dark. The pearl on the end of it's tail is blue and sheds every year to allow growth - it can grow up to a meter in length (because dragon genes o.o).

As for human interaction, each one may only bond to a certain human, becoming loyal to only them. They like to perch on their human's arm, by wrapping their tails around the arm. To show trust in their human, they are able to flatten their spines, in order to allow petting.

At the moment, it has no name/gender/personality/story etc so I'll allow you to create them ^-^

Edit: I've named the species Dramareus (Pronounced: 'Dra' - 'Mare' -'Us')
Name Origin/s:
"Dra" from "Draco" meaning Dragon in Latin
"Mare" meaning Sea in Latin; Also, "Mare" as in female horse
"Us" from "Equus" meaning Horse in Latin
