Staff Day

Seeing all the drama happening lately, I got the feeling that the work of the staff gets way too unappreciated. We all tend to forget that the mods, artists and spriters put so much effort into the site to keep it enjoyable for us and the fact that they're doing this in their free time.

So my suggestion would be something like a Staff Day, where we thank the staff for all their hard work and appreciate it.
It's not like we don't do that already - but at least then we would have a day to actually show that we're grateful for the work, as I feel like we don't really do that aside from saying "Thank you" sometimes after asking for help.

What would or could be different on a Staff Day?

To make the Staff Day actually an official and noticeable thing, we could create a banner made by the users on here.
Then every year on Staff Day, the banner will be put as the PokéHeroes site banner - and cannot be changed for that day. However, when the day is over, the banner that each user originally chose will be back.

We could also get something similar to the Christmas Cards and Sky Gifts, just that we can only send those to the staff and don't get a new Event Pokémon or something - but only so the Staff can get gifts and sweet messages. To give a bit motivation to do so, though, I think we shouldn't have to pay for those, as that would probably demotivate users to actually do it. Because there's this typical attitude "Why should I pay for something so others get something but I don't get anything in return?".

Another step is to make a plushie event instead of (or additional even) to the gift card thing. We send plushies to the staff and after a certain amount of Dream Points spent, we get a plushie or a set of plushies (depends in Riako) that represent (a) staff member/s.

Another way is also to make a festival with minigames and such, like for Riakos birthday. I don't really have concrete/tangible ideas for the mini games, but it would be an idea at least? ;v;
