Angel walked over and sat on the other side of him again, while Nat adjusted herself show him the tail she'd given herself which was that of a chameleon's. "I can give myself any tail of any reptile, but none of them are furry and I've never felt fur of my own or even another animal's fur..." Angel sighed and shook her head wanting to give his parents a piece of her mind. "I'm sorry they treated you that way, but here you're just like us. Unique in your own way. I do use my wings for defense, and offence as well as a mode of transportation." She chuckled softly and wrapped one of them around his back like an arm over his shoulder. "I also use them for comforting people or myself, now c'mere," She pulled him into a hug, Nat following in behind to completely envelop him in two pairs of arms and a pair of soft wings.

Danny smiled some more, hugging them both in return while he wiggled a tail over Nat's arms. "Chameleons are awesome! I like the way they walk, their eyes and the fact they change color. So far, I've kept my tails hidden. But if I need to confuse someone or defend myself, I can lash out with them. If I know no one will be around, they make the nicest blanket too."

Nat trembled slightly as she was holding herself back from petting and stroking the tail that was practically screaming at her to be pet. She also didn't want to ask about it since it sounded really weird even in her head. "I hope you two spend some time playing around with tails since you're sharing the couch living room area..." Angel let go and smiled at them both. "Oh, Danny how was your shower?"

Danny smirked, not looking over at Nat as he accidentally on purpose wiggled a fluffy tail over her arm and hand. He was okay with her touching his tails but he also kind of liked seeing her try not to ask to pet them. He so got the desire. Every dog he saw on the street was a struggle not to run over and hug and pet. "It was so, so nice. I feel wonderfully clean and warm, thank you," he said.

Nat made a sound like a whimper and a groan as she fought off her own inner demons and kept them under control, until Danny moved it again. Angel could see what was going on and grinned as she got up. "Well, I'm going to go take my shower and leave you two to your tails and tales," She chuckled to herself as she closed the bathroom door behind her after grabbing a change of clothes. "Okay," Nat took a deep breath. "This sounded really odd in my head, but I really gotta, hafta, kinda ask you something... Can I pet your tails? If you want to you could feel mine, but it's just scales... Nothing amazing..."

Danny laughed, not at her but with her. "Of course you can, Nat. I was wondering how long you could go. You definitely have a lot more restraint then me. I see a doggie on the street and it's like a magnet! I have to go over and say hi and pet them. I would like to feel the scales. I think they'd be neat."

As soon as she had permission, Nat had gently taken one of the tails and ran her hands along the fur, her eyes wide and full of curiosity, showing her true youth. She moved her chameleon tail over in front of him to let him do with it what he would. She was completely entranced by the fur that she hadn't given any sort of reply.

Danny chuckled again, brushing his hands overt the scaled appendage. It felt so cool. Scaly but warm and soothing beneath his fingers. "So what do you think?" he asked, grinning at her reaction.

"It's so soft..." When she finally was able to get words to come out they came out as more of a whisper. Nat's tail changed and grew as it became that of a crocodile's. Bigger and more powerful, this appendage definitely had obvious uses aside from just swimming, like the potential to swat away enemies.

Danny chuckled, letting her enjoy herself. "Thanks. I like them, too. Always have. But other people think they are weird. So I hide them a lot." Snuggling one of his tails, Danny smiled, relaxing into the couch, he smiled softly.

"You don't have to hide them around us though," Nat smiled and chuckled as she shifted into a bright yellow bearded dragon and curled up on the tail she'd been petting. Her little hands still petting his tail.

Danny laughed so hard at the sight that he was bent over at the waist. "You wanna sleep there for the night? Might be warmer and comfier than the couch cushions," he offered once he had his breathing under control. Nat was just too cute.

Nat lifted her head and nodded so vigorously that the rest of her moved. She noted his reaction and wiggled her tail like a dog would when excited. She loved seeing him smile, but his laugh was just beautiful!

That sent him into a fit of laughter. Grinning, he carefully lifted his tail with her on it to his chest and hugged her gently. "Thank you, Nat. For making me smile and laugh again. It's been...way, way too long."

Nat used her tiny arms to hug him back for a bit before hopping down next to him to shift into her to talk. "I love hearing and seeing you smile and laugh, and I hope that I can get you to smile and laugh at least once a day." She smiled and hugged him again.

"Good night Danny," Nat said before she shifted into a small bearded dragon and curled herself up on one of his tails. Angel finished her shower and came out to find the two sleeping. She smiled to herself and went to bed.

There was a soft knock on the apartment door in the morning. One that sent Danny sitting up straight. He remembered Nat so he left his tail where it was, leaving her to sleep.
