Elvira laughed and nodded. "That's about the same for me. I did do good on the SATs and such, not sure exactly how... Probably just the days I spent on studying... So I'm hoping that's all it'll take here too." She pulled up her work and some supplemental items. "I can take a look at your laptop tomorrow at some point. I'll clean it out of any viruses and various applications that no one really needs."

Roxy gave a nod. "That'll be great! Right now, I've got the history of fashion to go through. We're on the Victorian era right now and it's so cool! Though, when inspired, I am leaning into the more steampunk aspects."

"Oooh, that sounds fun." El grinned, her fingers tapping away on the keyboard. She could just use her power to type, causing the impulses that would be created when the keys are pressed, however, she had an audience, so she didn't.

Roxy smiled, turning her attention to the screen. Weeks passed and the girls grew into a comfortable routine. Roxy still debated telling Do about her powers but was too afraid of what she'd think to tell Elvira. One day she decided she was going to cook a romantic dinner. She picked everything up on her way home from work. She had had a rare afternoon shift so started getting things ready when she had put her stuff away. Looking between the screen to read the instructions and what she was doing probably wasn't the best idea. The knife came down, slicing open her finger pretty bad. Roxanne hissed in pain, yanking her hand back and clutching it to her chest. Grabbing the washcloth from the handle on the oven, she covered her hand, hoping it healed fast so she could hurry up and clean everything. There was too much blood to explain away, especially since her hand would be healed in minutes. How would she explain the fact she was no longer hurt to Elvira?

Elvira didn't have class that night so she was just doing some extra studying at the table when she heard the hiss of pain and was almost instantly in the kitchen. "Roxanne?! Are you okay?" She asked as she stepped to her side her eyes taking in the scene. "Damn that's a lot of blood, let me go get the first aid kit..." As she ran to the bathroom she called out. "Do you need to get to the ER?" She hurried back with the kit.

"No, I'll be fine. It just looks bad. It'll be fine," Roxy told her, not moving her hand. She couldn't let Elvira see the blood on the washcloth. "I'm okay. It's just a scratch. It'll be fine. I'll just put a bandage on it and it'll be healed up by tomorrow," she shrugged, playing it cool.

"You're a toughy, you don't just hiss about nothing, there's blood on the cutting board." Elvira held out her hand motioning for Roxy to give her her hand. "Is it really not that bad?" She didn't want to insist and be overly pushy, but she was feeling highly protective.

Roxanne bit her lip, tears threatening to rise up. She felt sick lying to Elvira. Slowly, she released her hand, giving it to Elvira. "I was startled," she murmured lamely. "It looks worse then it is." Her finger, while not fully healed, was definitely healing. The slim cut still looked bad but was closing.

Elvira examined the cut delicately. "Let's run that under some water and get a bandaid on it, okay?" She smiled slightly turning to the kit to pull out a bandaid. "I can understand that,"

Roxy nodded, going to wash it off. She hoped she could get it under a bandage soon so that Elvira didn't see how fast it'd heal. "Thank you, El. You take really good care of me," she said, drying off her finger with a paper towel.

Elvira leaned in and pecked her on the cheek. "You did such a good job with me, it's only right that I do the same." Elvira was setting out the bandaid and closing up the kit so she didn't see the rapidly healing wound. "Oh! I found out about a comic con happening only about an hour away from here. It's in a month, so we have time to prep costumes." She grinned.

Smiling, she kissed Elvira's cheek. Roxy quickly covered her finger with the bandage before throwing out the wrapper and the paper towel. "Oh! That is plenty of time! Should we go for a couples costume or should we do Zuko and Katara like we talked about?" She asked, grabbing the washcloth to put in her hamper. "I am so excited either way!"

"I'm still really excited about going as Zuko, but if we wanted to do a couples costume that'd be okay with me," Elvira called out from in the bathroom where she put away the kit. "Though the couples costumes would be sorta limited..." She came a smile on her face.

"This is true. I say we go as Zuko and Katara. It'll make Zukara shippers happy when we kiss. Though, I am definitely for Sang and Katara," Roxy smiled, turning her attention to the cutting board. "At least it wasn't the chicken. I have plenty of herbs I can recut for this."

"Yes," Elvira smirked as she walked over and snuck another peck on Roxy's cheek. "And it'll make me happy too," She giggled and looked at the cutting board. "Though you're gonna let me wash that since your bandage shouldn't get wet." She began to clean the cutting board and the knife, having put everything that was on it and covered in blood into the garbage.

"Sure, but I get to do this," Roxy giggled, sliding in behind Elvira and hugging her from behind, her chin on her shoulder. "And now I get to kiss you!" Making sure El didn't have the knife in her hand or anything dangerous close by, Roxy kissed the back of her neck and tickled her sides.

Elvira smiled and grinned as Roxy hugged her, but when she was tickled, oh she laughed loudly and flicked a little water at her assailant. "Ah! Stop it! Roxy!" She giggled as she struggled gently, making sure to not accidentally injure anyone.

Roxy laughed at the slashing and put on her most super villain sounding voice. "Never! You are my prisoner," she laughed, tickling a few seconds longer before releasing her girlfriend.

Elvira turned to face Roxy once the tickling was over and she smiled. "I would never want to escape," She quickly closed the distance between them and enveloped her in a hug.

Roxy hugged her back,relaxing into the warmth of her girlfriend. "I'm so glad you came into my life. You are like a ray of sunshine. Someone to be treasured," Roxy murmured before kissing Elvira.
