"Come back when you've got some real skill," he said to them. He turned and left, without another word. As he left, he felt the air shift as a teenage girl zoomed past him. No doubt that was Saria. I've seen her running around the city lately, working on her flips and tumbles. He glanced up at the sky. It was a partly cloudy day, and the sun kept getting blocked by clouds off and on.
He decided to serve himself lunch at a nearby cafe, since he had taken the pleasure of pinching a bit of cash from the two thugs he had just beaten up. He hadn't completely robbed them, though. He had only taken enough to get him food for the next few days, maybe a week at the mose. Besides, he had tons of prize money at his home. He could always get Underground and get some, the city guards knew him well enough he was granted permission in and out. He slipped into a small diner, and sat down at a table, slowly looking over the menu. He noticed a Glaceon gijinka out of the corner of his eye, but didn't give her much notice. Or anybody, for that matter.

Another day... Xerox walked back to his alleyway, having got a few pounds from Katsuma's friends, now his acquaintances. His mind flickered back to when his adoptive father was taken. He hoped the Shiny Charizard gijinka was all right. After all, he'd taken better care of Xerox than his own family did.
On second thoughts, he headed towards the shadier parts of the city. He might as well start mapping the routes, just in case.

Well.
"Yes, sir..." Lucy murmured as she hopped nimbly to the grimy sink, avoiding the glare of a red-faced man. The Glaceon Gijinka daintily swept her blue hair out of the way and twisted the knob labeled with a faded, blue "C", for cold water. Despite there being a knob for hot water as well, there wasn't a water heating system here in this mucky diner that Lucy worked in. The lab Gijinka hummed quietly under her breath while scrubbing the dishes with a hard, yellow sponge. Lucy closed her eyes while working.
Is this really what I live for? Scrubbing dishes in a run-down diner in a dark alley? Lucy didn't like that thought. It's not as if she could work anywhere else, though, as every other place refused to let her work there. There are rumors, though, rumors about a place where humans and Gijinkas live together in peace. The Glaceon Gijinka doubted the existence of such a paradise. It sounded too good to be true.
"Gijinka girl, where are you?! Serve that one over there!" Lucy blinked in surprise. It was almost midnight, marking the end of her shift. She didn't think that anybody would still come into the building. With a sigh, the Glaceon Gijinka slid out of the kitchen and into the serving room.
The room is surprisingly clean-looking, with creamy white tables and chairs. However, if you look a little closer, a thin layer of dust coats almost everything. The building is dimly lit, with a few flickering light bulbs that badly needed changing. A solitary person sat at a table, surveying a menu. Wait... He's a Gijinka.
This wasn't very surprising. A few Gijinkas had come to the diner in the past few years she had been employed here. About once a month, to be exact. Nobody really noticed- or wanted to notice- a run-down cafe in a dark alley. Timidly, Lucy approached the Absol Gijinka. "Err, 'scuse me, sir. Have you decided on your order yet?"
He shivered, partly from cold as well. The Missingno gijinka continued walking. He had taken off his mask, as there was no-one there, and because it was chafing his nose. He had also added pixel wings to his appearance, ones that resembled Lugia's. As he walked, he wondered, what would've become of him if he had turned into a Shadow Lugia gijinka. His mind went through all of the possibilities.
Eventually, he decided that freedom, even the one that he currently had, was better than power.

Well.
Deciding it was better to get a couple of more scratches than to starve to death, he headed outside. Jared stepped outside the building and scanned the area not seeing anyone. Great, I guess I gotta do some serious walking today... Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Jared started walking down the street scanning for anyone who might have some extra cash with them.
Or was it? Xerox assumed that it could be a gijinka. The mysterious someone was walking. He sighed inwardly, hoping to avoid any trouble. He still had to get back to his home, after all. In case the someone was a human, he removed his 'wings', and reached for his mask-
Drat. He'd left the mask at home. The pixels around him increased, with some parts of him blurring and flickering, along with his agitation.

Well.
Not giving any time for the man to react, Jared aimed a well coordinated kick on the man's gut and when the man doupled over he sealed his fate by bringing his elbow down on the back of the man's head. Grinning to himself Jared looked at the unconscious man lying on the ground. Well, it can't rain all the time, can it? He dropped on his knees beside the man and went through his pockets eventually finding his wallet. He took the the money from the wallet and patted the poor man on the head; "Looks like I'm eating today, thanks pal." Jared got up and checked if anyone had seen him, there was no one in sight so he carried on walking whistling happily.
He raised an eyebrow at the unconscious body. Maybe he was a gijinka after all.
Xerox had another problem, though. He was lost with no way of getting back. It wasn't the first time he had gotten lost, but he didn't like the idea of spending the night in foreign areas. As he leaned against the wall, he thought about his options. Staying here didn't seem good. Neither did just high-tailing it. Eventually he decided to follow the person he had seen earlier. Maybe they knew the way. For the moment, he just stood there. No shadow.

Well.
Jared grabbed a pack of noodles and a can of tuna and walked over to the young woman at the cash register. She didn't even bother to look at him when he placed the noodles and the tuna on the table and only turned her attention away from the magazine she was reading to glance at his shoppings. She announced the prize with a monotone voice and grunted when Jared handed her the money. Jared threw the items into a small plastic bag and flung it over his shoulder as he walked out.
"I'll just have the steak, medium rare if you don't mind," he simply said. The Absol put the menu down on the table for her to collect. Leaning back in his chair, he took a few seconds to get a good look at the gijinka, not in a stalker way, but just trying to get an understanding of her. Glaceon... One of his friends had been a Glaceon, although where he was now, Shadras could not tell.
Flip, run, jump, flip, roll, run, flip... Saria's mind raced through all he techniques, and the best ones to use in the areas. She was so absorbed with her running that she didn't see someone coming up until it was too late. She crashed full force into a passerby, knocking him down. Groceries flew through the air, and Saria was so off-guard, her hair flashed green for a second, until she remembered.
Saria shook her head and brushed herself off. "I am so sorry," she said, mumbling slightly. "I was just running through here, you see, uh, let's see, uh, here's your noodles, and um, tuna." She shoved his things at him, and then got a clear look at his face. "Are you...?" She started.

"Medium rare... Medium rare..." Lucy murmured under her breath as she strode to the freezer and pulled out a hunk of meat. The good thing about this place was that at least the food was fresh, and not a couple years old or anything. She unwrapped the meat out of the plastic wrapping and placed it on a beat-up, rusty pan, which she placed over the stove. Then she turned it on.
The Glaceon Gijinka scampered back to the table the Absol Gijinka was at, holding a dish with one hand (paw?). "Medium rare steak?" she chirped, setting it down in front of the man. Then, after standing awkwardly for a moment, she asked, "Err... Is there anything else you need?" This was purely out of habit, although he had said that he only wanted a steak.
"Not that they'res anything wrong with that!" She said quickly. "I'm perfectly okay if you are. I'm not against them or anything, because...well...I'm one too." For a second she thought that maybe she shouldn't have revealed her identity, but she was pretty sure he was gijinka, and one hybrid to the next, it's like a huge mumble-jumble family.
(Really wasn't sure where to go with Saria, so sorry if it's short.)
"Why yes, there is," Shadras said calmly. He pointed to a full glass of water in front of him that he had put a 20-dollar bill inside, then tipped upside down in a way that the water stayed in the glass. It was something that he did to people's glasses when they weren't looking, as sort of a prank.
"See that bill? I want to see you get it out. If you can get it out without spilling water everywhere, the money's yours to keep." The Glaceon girl reminded him of a friend he used to have. He probably wouldn't have bothered with the girl if she hadn't brought back those memories, but he needed something to do, anyways.

Despite the fact she was a fellow gijinka, Jared didn't feel like talking to her. As a matter of fact, he didn't want to have anything to do with anyone at the moment. The bruises on his side had started to ache again due to his trip to the ground and he was still starving. Jared just wanted to go home, eat and collapse into his bed. However, the girl looked pretty awkward and there was something in her that made him regret the idea of being rude to her. Against his better judgement, Jared didn't just leave her there and walk away. He straightened himself a bit, still minding the ache on his side, and gave the surrounding a quick once-over. He then turned his gaze back at the girl, "Yeah... Maybe I am a gijinka. What does it matter anyway?"
He started to walk away, but found that his horn had gotten caught in a low-hanging branch.
Great, He thought, his green eyes flickering red in annoyance. Now I'm stuck.
He just hoped that no one was around to notice his predicament.
Well, maybe I can get myself out of it.
He tried to free himself, but wound up hitting his head on the branch that imprisoned him.
Ouch... So much for that idea. Looks like I'm gonna be here for a while...
(Sorry for this post being short. I just don't know what to do with him...)
Setting down the pitcher, Lucy took a deep breath. With a steady hand (paw??), she reached out and grasped the end of the cup in a certain way. With her hand now curled carefully around the glass in a certain position, Lucy slowly lifted the glass. The water stayed in the cup. Slowly, slowly, she lifted the cup and reached towards the empty pitcher to dump it in-
Lucy's fingers slipped down, and the water spilled out all over the table, along with the twenty dollar bill. The Glaceon Gijinka jumped a little, her face burning in embarrassment. "Uwah! O-Oh, I'm so sorry! Here, let me get some napkins..."
He smiled at the girl. "No, it's fine. It's just some water. I'll live," he said. He grinned.
"I just find it kind of funny that you took the long way around. You know, instead of getting the bill out with an easier method. You know what? You can keep the money, just as long as you don't mind where I got it."
Saria grinned. "Because guess what? Where I'm from, there are tons of gijinkas, and nobody abuses us." She got excited, and had to restrain herself from jumping up and down. It was a passion of hers, bringing people to the Underground. There was nothing better than bringing someone with a hard life to a hidden paradise, an oasis in the desert, and knowing you were the one that put them there.
"And I could show it to you, if you want," she said proudly. "So whaddya say? Wanna come?"
