It seems to be a permanent thing. My evidence: “Currently, only Pokémon from the Kanto region are available as shadow Pokémon. In a few months, more regions will be added!”

Also the format of the Pokédex page has been updated. There are (new)purple stars along with (already existing) red stars marking ownership of a Shadow or Shiny version of a Pokémon, respectively.

Title: Spooky Manor Map

Wiki says: “If you have the Spooky Manor Map in your item bag, you will need to give it to a Ghost or Dark type Pokemon to hold..

By sending out a Dark/Ghost Pokemon to explore this rumble area, it will battle Giratina. If your Pokemon wins the battle, it will return with a Dark Orb. If it looses, it will return with the map, allowing you to re-send the Pokemon to the area.”

I tried using a map for the first time, this method didn’t work.

I had to ask friends for help and they corrected me: you don’t need to give the map to a Pokémon, you just need to have the map in your item bag. The Rumble area will show up on its own in the Rumble area selection.
The first part (If you... to hold..) is wrong. The second part (By sending... the area) is fine as is

Wait. But what if the 3 specific Pokémon are Pokémon that you don’t have Eggdex entries for?
This is going to be so rough...
Edit: lol nvm. The 3 Pokémon are already stated. Also. It’s great that the timer starts when you sign up, which can be whenever you want.
But it’s going to be rough.... I know there are players out there with stockpiles of Rare Candies...and the top 3 players will literally have times within a couple hours, depending on their skill and luck in the Tall Grass...

Also. Will try new event Pokémon Egg only be for the top 3 players? Sure, this makes it a very competitive event, but it will be super easy for the older, seasoned players....
