Rules With Exceptions
Forum-Index → Discussion → Rules With ExceptionsIt doesn't matter who's side who is on, Nexanda's point is valid, just as much as yours, whether you agree with them or not, or agree with Jackethan or not, do not play this whole "oh you're on their side".
Rules are there for a reason, she was banned for the multiple accounts/lashing out at people.
However, just because that has happened, just as you said, Jackethan, there was a reason she did it.
But just as there was a reason for how she acted, whether it's medications/personal issues, our mods had a reason for their actions as well, it was not them being discriminatory, nor being unfair, they are literally going by the rules, which is their sole job.
I truthfully have no clue if this feed/your dedication to see her unbanned will help or not, but I do hope it finds you and your wife some closure, if it means waiting for Riako to personally message you back, then I guess that's what you're going to need to wait on.
In the event nothing does happen and she doesn't regain her account, I hope that she (or both of you if you decide to leave for whatever reason) find another site that you can both enjoy as much (or more) than you did for PH.
All I'm really asking is for one more chance for her because it's been 3 months since the incident and she's calmed down considerably without her meds. She's ready to come back, and she CAN'T. All because of one screw up that was out of her control.
I mean, she poured tons of time and money into this site, obeying all the rules, and just minding her own business. She ran a shop, collected Pokemon, made more friends in a month online than she has in person in YEARS. And they're not even willing to give her another chance.
That's all we want.
Why not make a fresh account? I mean if you share the news that it's her then poeple will be sure to add her back!
I know it might not sound like fun but think! You can do all the badges again, earn all the PD to get pokemon, and items all over again <3 Sometimes I wish I could start fresh with a clean slate and do what I want to do.
As for proof, I shall take pictures of two letters from her former psychologist written to SSI. All personal information that can be used for identity theft WILL not be shown.
Give me about 5 minutes and I'll be back.
I've sent two letters to Cypher with Christi's permission detailing some of the things she's been through in the past two years. They will be the judge on what they believe. As of right now, Cypher is the only one Christi has given permission to show these letters to.
They are not fakes, as the header with the name and address of the institution is clearly visible on the top of the letters and can easily be googled along with the psychologist that signed them.
I did some number running as a thought-exercise but found it to sound like it was rambling and opted to put it into the spoiler. Note that it is a quick thought-exercise and has little bearing to actual results should it be attempted.

Keep in mind that, for an exception of
this magnitude, I'll take Cypher's example of 30 RL friends as a
comparison number. For a site nearing 100,000 accounts, the opinion
of 30 people would not make a dent, much less a drop of difference.
But that number is incorrect because of all the other
multi-accounts, perma-banned accounts, accounts that were never
activated, and generally abandoned accounts. So assume maybe double
or triple the active amount of users right now, and you'd still
have about 500 to 900 users on PH. Compare 30:500 to 30:900 though,
I suppose may be the equivalent of shouting in a busy town-square
in a major city and convincing them that you're right and that
change needs to happen.
Secondly, I have full agreement with Kelp on this matter. And I would like to repeat her point that, if you find that this game will not allow her to return, it's probably best to find another Pokémon browser game to play and wash your hands off the matter. Surely this is causing undue stress due to the repeated attempts of explaining/revoking the obstacles known as the site rules to your gameplay enjoyment.
Thirdly, let's continue the ride on the theory-chain and try to rationalize--if this exception was made--what that would mean for running PH.
1, Does every new member and existing member need to submit a psychiatric report from a "good hospital" in order to be given exception to reports that they are breaking the rules?
2, What about laws surrounding the right of privacy and medical records, even given patient permission, the site is international but is hosted (presumably) in Germany--legal recognition on that end and the other end, may very well be a mess?
2.1, What security features would need to be further implemented to protect this very personal and very private information?
3, Do all mods need to be educated in psychiatric schools in order to be mods? As of right now, they are following the required minimum of maintaining community wellness in accordance to the site rules?
Just some thoughts.

@JackEthan, that too, is a rude and serious accusation. Though I find from my personal experience, the moderators have been nothing but polite to myself and other users (even the users that I personally feel that shouldn't deserve respect). If this devolves into a "he said, she said," then it's not really a discussion, but a gossip-mill. Which has no place in this thread.

Yet another correction, it was Twin that made that particular statement. I found it in our chat log.
