Toro, we will climb mountains and face challenges we’ve never faced before. But bonds can not be broken and we knew at first glance this would be a hard journey, but we will get through it together.

Joining this, I never thought I would pick Turtwig. To be honest it had been my least favourite starter for my entire journey. I never looked at the Pokémon starters sheet to see the results but I went with grass. Couldn’t go wrong there? Hopefully I don’t get a Turtwig. Picked differential, although it randomised it.

For a while I was unsure of it and didn’t keep it in my party, but I decided recently to add it to my party. I’m not sure why but he’s really making me change my mind about the starters. I wouldn’t be here without him as my first true Pokémon and I don’t regret any choices made.

it. I soon realised how much harder this was going to be than I expected, but I chose my fire type, Litten and loved raising it.. Until it evolved. I just looked at it and wondered where I went wrong in life, and being a kid I kind of just stayed with it. It was a fire type and it was strong. (At least as a kid I thought it was.)

Getting onto US I picked Popplio (Don’t worry Rowlet we’ll get to you.) and loved my adventure. I did even worse this time and almost a fairy monotype but somehow beat the game. (Replaying it as I never used the save file anyways.)

Soon after all of this, and to this day, Rowlet is my literal child. I don’t know where I’d be without him. I would never be a grass-ghost type trainer as a monotype. I would never have my playstyle on Pokkén Tournament and I would never love Pokemon and grass types as much as I do today.

I guess it’s always been a weird journey. I first started watching Pokémon during Black and White as soon as I learned how to use the TV remote, being completely into the battles as if I was there. That TV was all I knew, always waking up everyday at 7AM to get down to watch the show as it started at 7:30AM and school started at 9AM and I had to leave at 8:30AM.

As a kid and being autistic I had a ritual of always doing this and it was all I knew, school and Pokémon. Only thing I didn’t know was what a DS or 3DS was or anything else like that. I actually couldn’t get myself to believe that the anime was based off the games and for ages thought the games were based off the anime.

I knew about the 3DS was when an advertisement for Sun and Moon came up. Not being able to get it at the time I found out that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were coming out. Soon after, my mum bought be an Orange New 3Ds XL. I bought Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and set to work on
