A monster once banished is on the verge of returning, to fulfil the promise its master made long ago.

300 years ago, a dark mage used him
powers to create a horrifying monster that could eat all magic,
who's sole purpose was to kill the princess, because she didn't
love him. (There was only one kingdom at the time). However, this
monster, being made of dark magic, could also possess the minds of
other people who used dark magic. The two magics split, thus making
two kingdoms. The two sides fight, although many of the dark magics
didnt want to. The Princess manages to seal the monster away on the
moon at the cost of her life, thus the blood moon. The blood moon
is the one time the monster can wake up and control things, for a
limited time. However, it's been using some of this time to build
up magic, making the blood moon occur more and more, and will
eventually break the spell. And now a bunch of high-school kids
have to stop it (aka you guys)
