Can you see if a pokemons mega able from the base form is seeing a mega able shiver which will evolve to a mega able banners or do you have to evolve first?

As soon as a Pokemon is hatched you'll be able to see if it's mega able. If it is, there will be a little mega stone icon in its profile. Here's an example. Hope this helps!
