I am sorry if this has already been answered since I tried to search for it but couldn't find anything. In regards to the ditto holding a pokeball in Prof. Rowan's lab. I clicked it upon seeing it was shiny and remember reading somewhere that something was supposed to happen. But I forget what.

I only had one Pokémon, his quest one, in my party and I have checked my bags, Pokémon boxes and plushie collection. But I can not find anything ditto related. The only thing I can find that is both blue and I can't remember having is a light blue mystery box.

What exactly is supposed to happen? Is it the box that I ended up getting? Because my memory is like a sieve and that is the only thing I can think of.

sometimes u receive a plushie when it responds "hihihi" but its a very low chance

Ah ok thank you, I was very confused as to what it was. I thought my internet had caused it to glitch or something when I clicked and a blank square came up.
