I have been hunting Weedle lately but I "accidentally" broke my chain when I hatched a Burmy (Plant). I thought the pokeradar had crashed. Then when I checked, it showed "You are currently hunting Burmy (Plant)" Then when I again broke my chain with a Maractus, it again said, "You are currently hunting Maractus"

Is this a bug or something?

I think it's some sort of premium thing? Did the Bug happen before or after the 24th advent calendar task?

It is not a bug. Your radar doesn't reset when you have premium, because batteries aren't a thing. It will simply assume you started a new hunt
