"What was that thing?" Skylar asked, "It looked, weird." He pulled out the sketchpad in his pocket, a small leather book where he keeps notes on anatomy so he can use his power properly.

With the dog..

"Scout! Scout!"

The girl who called out couldn't be older then 10. He scurried up to her, sitting at her feet with a watering can.

They were in a garden that had a river going from the forest through the garden and into the town. In the middle of the garden stood a large, hollow, evergreen tree. She took the can, walking over to a bed of poppies and watering them.

She has ginger hair that she keeps tied into a ponytail most of the time. She has pale gold eyes and a small scar over her left eye. She wears an overalls dress, black tights and short black boots that have fluff at the top of them.

The fact that the girl was alone without a parent made him feel uneasy. He decided to follow her and see if she needed help.

She spoke to the dog as she watered them with her free hand, the other one using her magic to grow a vine on the tree.

"So, I gotta go to Felix and drop off the book and then go to the bakery to give her the berries and then.. That'll be it."

She put the watering can inside the hollow tree, the dog jumping onto a platform outside the tree.

Jaiden looked at the dog curiously but continued picking up sticks she thought

"I can't speak to that dog now, I'm busy for survival!"

Jaiden then shivered remembering the events of long ago that still shadowed her deeply

She kept picking up sticks and when she couldn't carry enough wood so she plopped on the ground and tried to build a fire after she failed multiple times she started to fiddle with the dirt around her.

She put a bowl of dog food in-front of him, grabbing a book from the inside of the tree and running off.

Jaiden then felt really cold and her jacket wasn't helping so she pulled out a pack of gum from her pack and unwrapped the paper she tried rubbing it against the sticks hoping something would happen...

Nothing...

She got so mad her hair lit on fire and she quickly looked around to see if anyone saw her but when no one was around she thought a minute then she thought about her parents and then touched the pile of wood, it went up in flames and they continued to rise.

She then saw the dog barking not to far from her so she decided to check it out.

Emerging into the garden he crouched down next to Scout. "You're an interesting little guy aren't you?" Pulling out his notebook he began to sketch it's wings.

Jaiden saw dog ears from over the big bush she was walking by.

She heard a boy's voice ,he sounded about her age she quickly put her mask on and rolled into the bush
She saw a boy and she immediately started heavily breathing she sat still.
Had he heard her?

Skylar jumped back in surprise, they didn't seem like a threat so he quickly calmed down. "Hi, I'm Skylar." He reached out a hand to shake.

His wings unfurled more to an extensive height, showing the marbled green pattern that covered the bottom bit as he yapped.

She looked at the dog curiously.
