You've been fascinated with these strange and.. magical creatures from a place called Nightfall. You've learned everything about it from books, the internet, everything. So, when someone offers a boat trip that can actually get across the choppy body of water, you can't decline. You nearly freak out when your feet crunch the sand of the sandy shore. You walk up and onto the cobbled path, but can't help but notice something is.. wrong. Nobody is out like you've read about, and only the occasional child runs past you. What's going on, and can you unravel the mystery? A bit of paper flies past and lands at your feet. It doesn't say much.

Everything stays right where you've left it.

Winnie let out a long, exasperated sigh. She wasn't sure why she'd gone without her cousin, who had unfortunately broken her ankle shortly before the boat ride was scheduled for. Maybe it was curiosity about the supposedly "paranormal" residents, maybe it was her own ignorance. Either way, now Winnie was stuck on an island, being disappointed by the ghost town of a village. The feeling of eyes on her only seemed to make her mood worse. With a scowl, Winnie trudged through the empty town, trying to spy something worth her time.

Suddenly, a normal-looking fox ran out of a forest, a flower crown on its head. Strangely enough, the tip of its tail was green, not white. It stopped, staring at you.

Michon looked up, jumping. "O-oh! We're here.." He shakily got out of the boat. "I c-can't believe I'm d-doing this.." Michon muttered. Well, he certainly knew why. It was because he wanted to prove that he wasn't afraid of evreything, and, well, to satisfy his own curiousty. He nearly went to the moon with fear when he saw the fox, then looked down to scribble something with a trembiling pencil into his notebook.

Aki got off the boat with a sigh. Her eyes flickered around the area. Something... felt wrong. She shrugged it off. Maybe she was just over-reacting. She looked around the place before letting out a disappointed sigh. Was this really the place she heard so much about? Maybe, she'd made a mistake coming here? Suddenly, she felt as if someone was watching her and she shivered. She started regretting this whole trip. If only she could return to her comfortable bed and read some books. Aki sighed again. Well, better make this trip worth it, she thought, even if the whole village seems like a ghost town. She just hoped she wouldn't be meeting any ghosts.

The fox opened its mouth a bit, too startled to do anything but stare. The green, velvet bow tied around her neck shuffed as she did. Then, the unexpected happened.

Aki immediately blinked. She stared at the fox for a few minutes. She slowly raised her hand before she pinched her cheek. "Ouch!" She rubbed her reddening cheek, before muttering to herself. "Maybe, Mom was right. Reading too many books has made me go crazy."

"How did you people get here?"

She walked up, turning human when she was standing in front of them. She was a small girl who couldn't be any older then 10 or 11. She had bright lavender eyes and brown hair tied into a plait. She was wearing a green and white dress tied with a velvet green bow at the waist and sparkling green shoes.

Michon tilted his head. What kind of people would be on a desolate island? What kind of troubles would they have? Michon was automatically very, very curious. Still, though, he was also wary. "W-wwhat kind of a pickle?"

She turned, walking down the cobbled path and into a building not too far down. It had tables and chairs and behind the counter was a woman who seemed to be in her mid 20's. She had curling, blue horns, like a ram's, short, sapphire blue hair and cunning, white eyes. She had freckles dotted on her face and was wearing a uniform that also seemed quite casual. She turned as Amaya walked in, smiling.

"Hey, young princess. Anything I can do for ya?"

She had a demon tail that flicked in the air, and it was tipped with a blue spade shape.

Aki blinked before she tilted her head, her eyes sparkling in excitement. She should be feeling something like shock, but instead she was excited. Maybe she's read too many stories about demons, but she thought the woman looked really cool.
