So, i wanted to see if i could gift JolteonThunder (aka me) a gift. and it worked, i even got a notif. that i got the gift, but wheni go to 'claim' my gift. there is no 'claim' button, instead there is a 'cancel' button. so i say this would be regarded as a bug

It's not a bug. Since you set up the gift to yourself, the only option you have is to cancel it. It's kind of like when you go into your trades in the GTS and look at one. You can't offer on your own trade, only cancel it.
