It is the year 3035. Human civilization has completely shattered, but they still continue on, albeit a lot differently. There are 3 groups of humans struggling against the mutant monsters and elements that this broken world has brought on. The first is the Malince League. They seek to claim as much land as possible. The second is Odivous Leauge. Their goal is to govern their group in a way that will allow them to successfully go on. The third is the Raven Leauge, who strive for the destruction of all mutants. At the age of 15, you are given a choice as to which league to join. Which will you choose? Who will you fight for?


Each of you is standing in a different location, depending on which Leauge you chose. Those of you who chose Raven Leauge stand in a barren desert, Odivious Leauge in the ruins of a fallen building, and Malince in a marshy swamp. Standing before you are your leaders: Markus for Raven, Mabeline for Odevious, and Arthur for Malince.

Goliath stood as still as a statue, his feet planted a shoulders width apart, the sand licking at the edges of his bare feet. He wore little clothing on his back, the broad tan shoulders soaking up the sun. His eyes were closed, his hands resting in front of his stomach. Slowly he opened his eyes, allowing his gaze to settle on his new leader, a man shorter than him a small were, named Markus. His voice did not spill from his mouth, but his eyes asked the question. When do we begin?

Markus paced up and down in front of the others before stopping in front of them and turning to face the group

Mabeline placed herself at the front of the group before making eye contact with each person

Arthur wrung his hands nervously as he made his way to the front, placing them behind his back.

Markus-"Alright, listen up!"

Mabeline-"Greetings."

Arthur-"Hello there."

Markus-"You have chosen the Raven Leauge for one reason and one reason alone. To destroy the mutants."

Mabeline-"You have selected the Odevious Leauge in order to help us govern wisely and fairly."

Arthur-"You are here because you wish to help us expand territory, as is the goal of the Malince Leauge."

Markus-"While you are training, you will obey orders from me or one of the Training Officers. Understand?"

Mabeline-"I expect obedience from you, and so will your Training Officers."

Arthur-"In order to go far, you must respect me and your Training Officers."

Markus-"You have 10 minutes to get to know your fellow soldiers before we start. Any questions?"

Mabeline-"I shall give you 10 minutes to converse among yourselves."

Arthur-"10 minutes from now, we shall start. Until then, you may get to know the others."

Winnie's expression remained completely neutral as she listened to her leader's words. Her arms were at her sides, and her back was a straight as possible. Save for Maybelline's voice, it was completely quiet and still in the building. 'Not unlike a ghost town' Winnie mused. She too was still and silent, save for her scarlet eyes, which would every now and then dart around to glance at the faces of her peers.

Each of them turned and walked off, and the others began to mill about themselves.

A boy of about 5'5 with sandy hair and way too many freckles was next to Winnie, trying to avoid her scarlet eyes. His hands were behind his back, but he kept reaching up and pushing at the bridge of his thick wire glasses that were constantly sliding down his face.

A girl with a black ponytail streaked with red and a tattoo of a bird going up her shoulder was sitting on the ground not too far away from Goliath, eyes closed and hands on the ground, propping her up. Even more noticeable than her tattoo is the disfiguring scar on the side of her face.

As she stared at the boy, Winnie's eyebrow slowly raised. Could he not get glasses that fit better? Or just contacts instead? Why put up with glasses that didn't stay up? She certainly knew she wouldn't. This boy was....intriguing, that was for sure.

The boy with the glasses noticed Winnie staring at him, and jumped back a bit. "H-hi," he said. "Uh, w-why are you staring at me?"

She pointed at his face, and in a monotone, matter-of-fact voice, Winnie said. "Your glasses don't fit you correctly, right?" Her eyebrows furrowed. "That seems awfully reckless, wearing something that could be so distracting if or when you head into battle."

The boy bit his lip. "T-they were my dads. He had said that I w-would get them once I reached the Odevious Leauge, so I could take his place as a scientist in the research c-center." With one hand he pointed to a worn, slightly crumbling white building. "I don't mind the distrac-ction. I like to think of him when I wear them."

Winnie's expression remained neutral, but something in her eyes seemed to soften, if only slightly. "I see." She murmured. After a few brief moments of silence, turned to him, and held out her hand to shake his. "My name is Winnifred Varela. Though, I'd much prefer if you'd call me Winnie."

Meg was greeted by a taller woman in a long white lab coat with a blonde pageboy hairstyle and piercing green eyes. She carried a clipboard and looked over its edge to view Meg with a critical eye. "What is your name, child?"

The woman looked over her clipboard, then tapped it twice with her pen. "Meg..Meg..oh yes, here we are. Meg. You'll be working with Mr. Williams, but he isn't here yet." She pointed to some dark purple seats against the wall with her pen. "I suggest you take a seat until then."

Alex was standing on a pile of rubble, her hood up and mask on. She held her bow and arrow tightly. She had been mastering it for 5 years. She looked out over the horizon wondering what was there. She looked back at her leader.

Maybelline noticed the strange girl in the cape. She didn't remember her being at the Choosing. Oh well. But it would do her good to see which of these newcomers would be helpful. She backtracked to the girl and said, "Hello there. I'm so glad you decided to join our ranks."
