In the world of dragons, there are humans and dragons. Some humans live in peace with dragons, training and living alongside them. Some enslave dragons, using them to try and conquer the dragon world. They are known as Vikings, and dragon trainers are no strangers to them. Curiously enough, the Vikings are not the main villains in our story....

For years, humans, Trainer and Viking alike, thought that the dragons classed as 'legendary' were the strongest, most godlike dragons. It took skill to breed and befriend them, and they were very powerful. However, there was a class above legendary, known as Divine that are basically the gods of the dragon universe.

A very particular and secretive set of humans have been aware of this dragon class for decades, and are executing a plan to control these immortal beings, using machinery to send them into a rage, bending to their will. The Divines called them 'the tyrants'. The uncorrupted Dragon god, Loki, has sought out the aid of human heroes, dragon trainers, to choose a dragon companion and help him free his fellow Divines. These humans are unique. A special breed that exclusively are the only humans that can hear Divine dragons' thoughts, and therefore are the only humans Loki can communicate with. He begs them to assist him in stopping the tyrants.

And one of those humans...is you.

Derek shifted his weight from foot to foot, glancing back at Alchemy every few seconds. The massive dragon was surely taking his sweet time with getting a drink of water. "Alchemy, you've been there for five minutes. We have to keep moving. Something's not right about this place." He said that about everywhere they stopped at fro more than a few minutes, but rarely ever meant it. Alchemy seemed to grumble, then pulled his face from the water and turned around, water dripping from his maw and down his chin, neck, and chest. Derek turned to look at Alchemy again, then said, "No, no NO NO!" The dragon lunged forward and pushed Derek down, spitting the water in his cheeks out of his mouth, drenching Derek. Letting Derek get up, Alchemy bounced around a little, playfully, even despite the fact that playful was hard to achieve when you looked like a walking battering ram. Derek sighed, then stood up and wiped water from his eyes. "You are so going to pay for that..." Sprinting forwards, Derek chased Alchemy around the little pond for a bit, then yelped as Alchemy rocketed off the ground, straight over Derek. The dragon shook his hindquarters at Derek, then blocked the boy from jumping on his back with his tail.

Suddenly, a voice could be heard through the minds and voices of the chosen humans, and the nearby dragons. Come to me...

A low, commanding voice echoed through their inner being, and they would find themselves being sucked out of their current environment. From their dragon armies, their normal homes. The only thing familiar being their dragon companion. The place was filled with stone, cracks revealing the dark red, hellish glow of what looked to be fire, but one could hardly tell. They were in some sort of...labyrinth? A powerful looking dragon with green and silver scales gazed upon them. Bright yellow, glowing eyes judging them. Beside the great dragon was a small golden dragon, appearing to be a baby dragon, but it looked a little too...brave to be a actual newborn.

Derek froze as the reality around he and Alchemy shifted. Alchemy's eyes focused on something just past Derek, and Derek turned slowly to look. He blinked, then sat down hard while Alchemy waddled slowly over to stand protectively next to Derek. Derek stuttered something incomprehensible, whilst Alchemy glanced at him worried, then glanced at the two dragons that stood before them.

The voice echoed again. It would take them a moment to find that the green and silver dragon was the one speaking, for the dragon itself stood unmoving. Greetings, mortals. My name is Loki, and I have come in a time of great peril. You see, as you were living your ordinary lives, my fellows have been captured, which could mean disaster for you and your dragons.

Of course, for you may be the only ones that can hear our divine thoughts. Though you must be prepared for battles against strong dragons, like my fellow divines.

Derek caught Evansola's words, then reached up and grabbed on to one of Alchemy's horns, hoisting himself up. The dragon leaned away when he grabbed the horn, helping the man to stand up. Glancing at Cami, Derek quickly was able to point out flaws, strengths, and weaknesses. "Alchemy is a bit of a fighter. He looks the part, too." Alchemy puffed up his chest and squared his talons, his chin held high.
