You wake late, realising you were supposed to get your first pokemon today. You open your door and rush to the lab, sprinting through your city, which looks almost empty, as nobody likes this place. Trash litters the sidewalks, and you wouldn't be able to count the amount of potholes in the roads. Still, you make your way to the lab, thinking about which starter you would like.

Harper - a Trubbish scuttles across the road in front of you, making you stop. It hurries into a an alleyway that looks quite dark. You turn a final corner, and see the lab - a small, one-storey square building, with graffiti covering the walls and broken windows. You hear noises from inside, most likely pokemon, and a woman's voice, sounding rather angry.

Cadmus slowly made his way over to the lab, his hands in the pockets of his jacket. He was a little tired, though he didn't let it show. This place was fairly run down, and held little interest in the eyes of well, anyone. He arrived at the lab, knocking on the door.

Cadmus - The woman's voice abruptly stops, and the door inches open. A ginger haired, freckled girl that looks quite young opens the door. She stares at you for a second, looking scared, before smiling slightly. "You must be here for your starter, right? Come in," she says, opening the door fully. "I'm Proffesor Palm, and, uh... Sorry about the mess." The inside of the lab is scattered with paper and pokeballs, with a few pokemon dotted about. A Ninetales in the corner glances at you before going back to eating. "So, um, I'm going to need you to step onto this pad... Which is..." She shoves a few papers out of the way, reveling an orange circle on the ground. "There. A pokemon will drop from above you." She mumbles something about being bitten, though it was too quiet for you to hear. "And then... Yeah." Proffesor Palm doesn't appear very well trained, or practised.

Harper - A boy enters the lab before you, but the door is left open. You see the same interior as him, though a Houndour is staring at you from inside. It has a large scar on it's left leg, but other than that it's normal. You hear what Proffesor Palm says to the boy, and see the orange pad on the floor.

Sydney wakes up and carefully goes to the lab. There are a ton of potholes, but she eventually makes it to the lab. She goes in and notices the Houndour and the scar on its leg. "Oh. Are you okay, Houndour?" she asks it. She would like to try and help, but she doesn't have any bandages to put on the Houndour's leg.

Cadmus tilted his head, though he moved over to the pad. He silently wondered if this was safe, but shook his head. The Professor probably knew what they were doing. Probably.

Sydney decides to focus on the pad on the floor. When it's her turn to get on it, she will. She'll be getting her starter, too. She's still worried about the Houndour, but this seems more important.

Harper - The Houndour looks away. Proffesor Palm notices you and hurries over, welcoming you inside with a small smile.

Cadmus - As you stand on it, the pad begins to glow. The glow intensifies, and eventually it is so bright that it begins to blind you. Before it does, though, you hear a sliding noise above you, and a sudden 'Whoosh' as a pokemon drops into your arms. Proffesor Palm stares at it for a second, then clears her throat. "Congratulations, you have gotten your stater! It looks like quite a healthy Deino. Well, as healthy as they can get..." She walks over to you and hands you six pokeballs, two great balls, three Oran berries and a pokedex. "You can now begin your adventure, and do... Y'know. Whatever you want really." She shrugs, before turning away to see who else is there.

Sydney - The Houndour barks at you, before running further back into the lab. Proffesor Palm glances at you. "You're probably here to get your starter too, then. Well, please step onto this pad," she gestures to the orange circle that the boy just stepped off of, "And... Your starter will appear. And hopefully not bite you." She smiled reassuringly.

Cadmus took the items and started to leave the lab. As he exited he took one last glance into the lab, looking at all the other trainers. Finally he left, moving a short distance before pulling out a pokeball and tapping the Deino with it. "Now, where to start..." He mumbled.

Itsuki hurried over to the lab, putting on her older brother's big blue sweatshirt, even thought it was too big for her, she still wore it everyday, since it's the last piece of him she has left. She arrived at the lab and opened the door

Cadmus - You see a shady figure stood on a roof, watching you. It disappears before you can tell what it is, though. An Ekans slithers out from a pile of trash, and eyes your Oran berries greedily. It hisses, coiling up, as if about to attack.

Sydney - The same glowing process is repeated. This time, though, an electrical sounding noises crackled through the room. The noises somehow combine into one space, forming an Elekid. It looks up at you, it's eyes holding yours. Proffesor Palm again stares at it, before also meeting your eyes. "It appears you have obtained a healthy Elekid for your starter. Though I must say, it is larger than normal..." She hands you six pokeballs, two great balls and three Oran berries. "Well... You can go now. And do whatever."

Harper - Proffesor Palm sighs. "You next, then." She nods at you, before going over to her computer and typing something. The Houndour eyes you, almost studying you.

Itsuki - The Proffesor is busy as you walk in, and there is another girl there. She appears to have just gotten her starter. A sudden chill crosees you, but the others don't seem to notice.

Cadmus - The Ekans springs at Deino, fangs bared about to use bite. It's form isn't the best, but it is speedy, so it reaches Deino quickly, tumbling slightly. [You can decide if you want to dodge. I'm going to bed now, night guys.]

Cadmus ordered his Deino to dodge, then attack. The dragon pokemon, stumbled to the side, the Ekans move just barely hitting it.

Sydney takes the items, thanking the Professor, and leaves with her new Elekid. He seems ready for a journey with his new Trainer, but he also seems rather nervous. "Is anything wrong, Elekid?" Sydney asks, noticing the Pokémon's nervousness. Elekid shakes his head no. "Elek!" he suddenly exclaims. "Okay, then. Let's go," replies Sydney.
