"I saw this odd piece of rebar, off to the side, right? But when I picked it up, it turned into a sword! Call me crazy, mate, but in my dream that night I saw an eye, a left eye, and it said, 'You've claimed Bringosir, Blade of the Fallen King. We are a quarter way there. A quarter way to protection' I don't know what it was, but I- H-hang on a minute, mate, put the gun down! Can we talk through this peacefu-"

Chakti shuddered against the cold water, checking the PSI on his tank. "Only twenty minutes left. Still no bodies recovered.. This wasn't very successful." He loved being a search and rescue SCUBA diver, but it wasn't all that promising when you can't even find the ship that sank. Turning around to head back to the shore, he brushed his hands along the bottom of the lake, accidentally catching them on a strangely shaped piece of bark. Grabbing it, he pulled it from the sand and algae. "At least there's something interesting on this dive." He tucked it under an arm, his wetsuit cushioning it perfectly against his body.

Luke is in the park, under a tree and reading a book. He sighs. His parents were fighting again. He was sorta used to it, but it still felt wrong to him. He was reading Wings of Fire, The Lost Continent. He liked the series, mostly because it was fantasy.

The last body, the last person, that entered these catacombs was not recovered. Not in one piece at least, or so she had been told.

It was not a very reassuring start to an investigation as this was.

With only a headlamp and her own tactile senses as guidance, the black-haired fae joined the rest of her team, her skin crawling uneasily with the claustrophobic surroundings. The musky, oppressive odor of death clung to her senses and made her heart pound. The officers had thought that it would be a good idea to send her in, given that she took Death and any new fatal incidences in stride, but right now, she was regretting it. The dreary atmosphere enveloped her, but it did not cause her to wither in the least. She'd seen a little too much for someone her age...but it all played out. Eventually.

Eden had a very personal relationship to death, you could say. Almost as if she were its Harbinger...

It was another day of hard dirty work for the underground, of organizing the group into a scrambled amalgamation of presentable, to throwing hands with rival factions. Asunama was pleased to feel the tingle of a good fight spreading over his scarred knuckles, the fact that he was doing something good. The faction he controlled was famous for being the most morally grey out of the criminal underbelly, using unethical means for ethical ends. Unlocking the door to his run down flat, Asunama kicked off his shoes and went to the kitchen to crack open a beer after a long days work

Lillian and Silver were at their parents grave for the 6th time that week. Lillian wiped rain off of her face as it misted around her and her younger brother. As they began toward the small space they called home, Lillian felt a strange feeling. She shrugged it off as if it were nothing but Silver knew something was bothering her. He didn't press but hugged her, hoping it would help her.

Chakti crawled out of the water, cursing as he spotted rain clouds above the city, heading his way. He dropped his bark piece into his vehicle, then removed his SCUBA gear, cut the air, and disassembled it, stashing the BCD and empty air tank in the back of his truck, the respirator from a hook near the front. He peeled off his wetsuit, removing the velcro nametag from it before doing so. "Drakonov, C." He chuckled, then set the wetsuit and nametag inside the back of his truck with the rest of his gear. Removing his diving gloves, he clambered into the vehicle , a towel under his soaked body. He glanced back at the piece of bark, then started the Ford pickup and pressed the gas, beelining back towards the city.

"James Young is a sixteen year old male. He came in today with deep lacerations to his chest and back, which have since been addressed by Dr. Kovalski. Vital signs are stable, so he shouldn't be too hard to handle. Just make sure he doesn't pick at the stitches. He likes doing that.."

The other nurse nodded as she spoke and wrote down some notes. It was shift change- which meant Hollie was free to go after this. Finally. "Did ya need to know anything else?"

"Yes, actually. How did he get them?"

"Who knows, he won't tell us. Probably something stupid from the way he acts." Hollie gives a nonchalant shrug. "Anything else?"

Upon the nurse shaking her head, they both exchanged their 'good-byes', and the red head walked out the hospital doors. After glancing down at her phone for directions, she slowly started walking down the sidewalk towards the daycare. It was still daylight, so she'd like to take her little sister out somewhere besides the apartment. Maybe the beach? Or to the park? It wasn't every day she got out this early, after all, and she wasn't about to let any potential rain stop their day.

Luke finally notices it was raining and he gets up, putting his book into his backpack. Sure he didn’t exactly need it but it was useful when he needed it. He sighs as he walks on the sidewalk and heads towards a secluded area in which he hoped he wouldn’t be noticed. His backpack bounces around as he walks, as if something big was in it. He doesn’t plan on going back home soon, hopeful that his parents would just watch TV in separate rooms instead of nagging at him with their quarreling. He sees a few kids from school that likes to bully him and starts walking quickly.

As Silver and Lillian entered their small home, lightning danced across the sky, lighting up the younger boy's face. Lillian noticed tears running down his face as the lightning faded, being replaced with a large, loud crack of thunder. "Hey, you alright?" She asked him. All she got in response was a small, simple nod.
