Caleb stopped for a second to think. "I don't know what's gotten
into her...Maybe's she hungry. Do you have anything to feed her
with?" He said as he looked around for pretty much edible. "Shall I
accompany you? Crystal's probably asleep at our hut and I still
need to relax from the previous encounter,a long-tail lion or
whatever Cole said... I'll borrow the map and copy it or something
tomorrow,it's night after all." He tried petting Hestia, slightly
burning his fingers in the process.
Caleb: "Oh no no. I'll be fine alone, you should get
some rest. There's plenty of food back at my house too. Make
yourself at home. If you need to know more there are shelves
crammed with notes and stuff," she said. She slightly blushed.
"Cole made those, he loves exploring and learning," she
mumbled.
Hestia had let you pet her. She let out a satisfied sound and
leaned closer towards your hand, the heat getting hotter. She
probably just needed more attention. Hazel looked worriedly at your
slightly scalded hands.
"I have some gloves back at the hut. If you ever need them, and I'm
pretty sure you would need them, you can have them. I'm pretty sure
Cole had brought a fire-proof vest too somewhere around there," she
said worriedly, pointing at Hestia, who was demanding you to pet
her more.
"Thank you!! I really appreciate that. I'll just grab something
small to eat and maybe something for Crystal as well, check some
notes and make my leave,I promise! I'll ask him about the vest
tomorrow I guess..." He said as he continued petting her from time
to time, letting his hands recover from time to time. "I owe you!-Oh
and by the way,be careful out there." He said as he waved
goodbye, heading towards her house, trying not to wake up everyone
else from the light emanating from Hestia.
Caleb: Hazel waved back before disappearing from
sight, her kitsune followed behind her. Hestia had flown away from
your shoulders, thinking that the heat was too much for you, which
was true because your shirt was already black and looked near to
burning. She flew right next to you, sometimes she'd fly faster as
if she was challenging you to a race. You reached the hut soon and
the door was wide open. Inside there were a lot of shelves, some
crammed to the brim and were opened. The place did look messy and
Hazel did not specifically tell you where to look. Where will you
start?
A. The drawers full of papers
B. The shelves stacked with books
C. Grab some food from the kitchen nearby
D. A chest lying under the table
Despite being curious as to why Caleb made her stay, Crystal still
stayed put like she was told. Hushed conversations could be heard
but not a single detailed heard. Deciding to not give much thought
to it, sh decided to turn in for the night with Flora sleeping next
to her, releasing calming lavender scent.
He kept repeating to himself to himself that there shelves crammed
with notes so his first instinct was to look out for that. The
presense of the chest did intrigue him but he knows better than to
look at other's people's belongings, other than the notes that he
was given permission to look at of course.
Caleb: Loose papers were sticking out from the books
that look like it would flood out the minute you open it. Cole
really likes writing a lot. All the notebooks looked almost
identical, covered in the same dark brown leather. There was one
red one that stood out though, sandwiched between the dull brown
books. Which one will you read?
A. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe on which brown notebook should you
read
B. Read the red notebook
Crystal: As the darkness of sleep greeted you, you heard the
same man's whisper in the dark.
"Those who fall behind, will not reach their world alive," the
voice hissed menacingly. You did not know if he meant it for
someone else, or was it for you? The same voice chanted the same
phrase over and over. You felt a little poke at your side.
The bright red color, way different than the dull brown ones,
attracted Caleb's eye. He was mildly annoyed the notebooks weren't
named or something. He opened it after making sure the other notes
wouldn't fall off from the books. He felt bad just intruding and
reading other people's notes but he would make his leave sooner or
later. He also had to check up on Crystal.
Caleb: The notebook was not filled with information
about the wildlife or the environment here. Instead, it was filled
with events and dates. The dates above the entries shown to be
about three years ago which was when Cole had first appeared here.
The writtings were stained with dirt and mud on the yellow lineless
paper. The first page had jagged handwriting as if he had written
it in panic.
"I woke up from my nap to end up in this place. I had been lying on
the ground with two other people, a girl, and another boy. We were
all clueless about what has happened. Then we heard a shake in the
bush and a huge black creature had jumped out and bitten the other
boy with its sharp teeth. I ran in fear and pulled the girl along
with me. It had given chase and managed to claw at my leg. Trying
to pull me back..."
A. Continue to read
B. Put the book back and stop reading
A bit more information wouldn't really hurt. Caleb also wanted to
know a bit more regarding Cole's experience in this whole ordeal.
He would have to check the brown notebooks tomorrow,or something,so
he just rushed to the kitchen to grab a snack for Crystal and
return to their hut after reading the book a bit more.
That guy again he's back. The non-stop chanting filled her head as
she desperately tried to wake up. Something bit her, snapping her
out of it and her eyes opened to see Flora glancing at her
worriedly. "Thanks for waking me up... God, if this keeps up, I'm
going to lose to much sleep. I need coffee" Flora looked at her
again, resting a paw as if trying to calm her down from the
"nightmare" she had. Oh god Flora reminds me of a bright green
dragon I possess in the game flight rising
Caleb: "The pull was s strong I had fallen to the
ground and gripped at the roots to stop from getting pulled back.
My leg, however, felt like it was about to get ripped apart. Before
I could lose all sense because of the blood I was losing, the girl,
and smacked the creature with an axe. The creature died instantly
and I asked her where in the world did she get that weapon. She
said there were some people living nearby and helped me walked
there. The people treated my leg and had let us stay with
them."
That was the end of the entry. There were more to come but Cole's
handwriting had become more incomprehensible, forcing you to give
up.
What will you do now?
A. Look at the brown notebooks
B. Pick the other options
Crystal: You heard the sound of oncoming footprints
headed towards the hut where you were in. The door opened to reveal
a tired and dirty looking Cole. He just realized you were awake and
tried to brush the twigs out of his hair.
"You're not going to sleep? It's pretty late," he said.
A. Go back to sleep
B. Tell Cole about your nightmare
C. Ask why he looks tired and dirty
Sorry @BanzhanMushroom I was in a rush this morning and forgot
to make one of these for you :,3
Caleb closed the book and carefully placed it back where he found
it,and headed towards the kitchen to search for a snack to
alongside Crystal. From what he had read, there were other people
before Cole. "Just how old is this place?" he kept wondering to
himself while browsing some cabinets and and shelves for some food.
I choose C. "Oh I actually slept, just woke up because of... of
reasons. Nevermind that, let's talk about you. You look like a
mess!" Crystal stood up, walking over to Cole and started helping
him pick out the twigs in his hair. It was honestly hilarious.
"Your hair looks like a bird's nest."
Caleb: You hear the footsteps and Cole speaking
nearby. What will you do now?
A. The drawers full of papers B. The shelves stacked with books
C. Grab some food from the kitchen nearby
D. A chest lying under the table
E. Go follow Cole's voice instead
Crystal: "Oh, I was just out in the forest meeting some guys
and planning for our 'adventure' tomorrow. If you're not gonna
sleep, want to help me pack?" he asked.
Caleb got startled upon hearing Cole's voice since he didn't know
Caleb got Hazel's approval to be at her place so he stepped
outside, somewhat disappointed he didn't get any food for Hestia but
he would have to do that tomorrow. At least he managed to get a
pair of gloves on his way out, enabling him to pay more attention to
Hestia.
