One purloin sent a shadowball at Jericho, though not a very strong one. It came at him quickly, along with a few other swipes from the other Purloin. Daren, thankfully, dropped his can and stopped wrecking the mural, to watch the fight.

Nova raced alongside Kiwi, her hears flapping in the wind. She huffed audibly, tired from the running, but she managed to keep up. Her expression looked anxious, but determined.

Now Kiwi heard the sounds of battle. Someone was fighting! As a 'hero', her first instinct was to check it out to assess how to break it up. Violence was never good, not in a city.

Jericho flinched and let out a pained cry as the Shadow Ball hit him. He moved to return a Poison Sting to the Purrloin. He was a little relieved that Daren had stopped wrecking the painting, but now their full attention was on him.

The purrloin wasn't very strong, as it huffed and collapsed as it was hit. He was definetely alive, just knocked out for a bit. Daren looked at him angrily. "Look what you've done! You've temporarily injured one of my gang!" His eyes were stormy and mad. "I guess I'll have to attack now..." He raised his paw and unsheathed his claws threateningly. The three other purrloins formed a ring around Jericho.

Kiwi arrived on the scene, watching the gang of purloins. She waited for Nova to catch up, studying the best way to approach. there was no room to be timid.

"Ah! I- I'm sorry! I didn't mean too, it was an accident!" Jericho said, as he tried to back away, only to get caught in the rong of Purrloin's. He let out a small whimper as he braced for another attack.

Summer hovered in the air nearby, watching. While a Bug Buzz from her would take out the Purrloins easily, she’d sworn to never use any of her moves if possible. Right now, someone else who looked ready to fight (Kiwi) had arrived, so it wasn’t a necessity for her to strike. Summer would have much preferred to solve this non-violently, but the Purrloin were obviously refusing to listen to reason.

Daren gave a toothy grin, and slashed Jericho's face with some fury swipes. "Thank should teach you not to mess with my gang!" He growled obnoxiously. He was so busy attacking, he didn't notice that some other pokemon had gathered. His gang of purloins watched as Daren attacked. A sudden voice cried out. "You!" It was a litten - and he was furious. "I KNEW you were up to trouble again, Daren!" He hissed at the other cat pokemon, who stopped attacking. "Lukas? Aw come on, you had to come and ruin the fun." He unsheathed his claws, and the purloins formed a defensive circle. Even the one that was knocked out was back up on his feet. "Ah well. I guess we'll attack you, too!"

Jericho fell back, holding a hand to his face. It stung really bad, and the Croagunk let out a small whimper. He supposed this is what he got for not minding his own business. He couldn't help but worry for the Litten.

Kiwi took a step forward, casting Nova, still treated as an apprentice in these situations despite dialing back on the rescue work, a meaningful glance. "Step in if you feel the need." She then took a step forward, tensing her muscles as she approached the fight. "Hey! Stop it, all of you!" She barked.

"Why should I?" Daren sneered, and leaped out to confront the litten, Lucas. The litten hissed, and used a powerful ember, startling Daren. He leaped back. "DONT MESS WITH THESE POKEMON, OR THE PAINTING!" Lucas was furious. He viciously attacked, and pinned down the purloin, and Daren's allies began running away. Despite their rough extreor, they really weren't all that brave. "Got you now, you little punk." Lucas spat, pinning down Daren.

Growing furious, Kiwi began using a technique she'd learned in a battle of hers. Over her experience, Kiwi had learned that using moves wasn't always the best strategy. Sometimes, you had to think outside the box, as she would gladly demonstrate to Nova. Using her control over water, she created orbs of water around her, which then mercilessly fired at the litten and Purrloin, soaking them and pushing them apart. Not quite enough pressure to hurt them, though

The purloin and the litten were pushed apart. Nova watched from the side, cheering: "Go Kiwi!" Daren clumsily landed on his rear end, and Lucas approached him, still standing. "Dont you EVER! do something like that again," He growled threateningly at Daren. "Okay, okay! I'll scram now!" He picked up the orange paint can he'd dropped, and booked it back to town. Lucas turned to the other pokemon. "Thanks there... that buffoon keeps beating up pokemon and graffiiting everywhere... I'm trying to stop him. I'm Lucas, by the way." He nodded sternly. "And you?"

"I-I'm Jericho..." the Croagunk answered, his hand still pressed to his face. A little bit of blood leak out from under his palm, as the attack had actually dug in a bit deep. The hit he had taken from the Shadow Ball didn't feel too good either.

Kiwi stepped back to stand beside Nova. "Oh, me? I'm Kiwi, a little bit of a...retired rescuer...I'll say that." She looked at Lukas as she said this, wanting to focus back on Nova's gift...it only seemed fair. She patted the kid in the head as she did so, really not wanting any of the attention.

Summer watched after Daren. She’d never figured out why he did that. Why would he do that? It’s only for a short period of time, and is actually illegal. Of course, she doubted she could see things from his perspective, but if she could, she would probably understand everything. If only most people aren’t so secretive about everything...

Lucas nodded, as Connor, the stoutland, came running to the cliff. "Ah, the mural is mostly safe! I hear the commotion and I was worried..." He saw Jericho. "Oh! We need to get you healed!" He picked up the croagunk and put him on his back. "I'll take you to the town hall... I think we had a medic, there. Thanks to the rest of you!" He hurried down the mountain.

Nova padded up to Kiwi. "That was awesome!" Nova grinned. "Those bubbles? That was strong and smart!" She paused. "Hey, do you mind if we go get something now? I was thinking about this toy..." She began describing a plushie of a berry.

Kiwi smiled at Nova. "Sure thing. Now that the detour is over." she started leading the way to the gift shops. "After we get something, is there anywhere you want to go?" She asked while pinpointing the location of the shop in question. As the sight of the graffiti vanished behind them, Kiwi remembered the stoutland from before... visions of destruction...maybe she should confide in the rest of the team.

Jericho mumbled softly as he was lifted onto the Stoutland's back. He was fairly embarrassed, he had tried to stop Darn and his gang, but he was so weak. Others had to come in and save him. Maybe it was a good thing that his dreams of becoming part of an Adventure Team never came true...

As Summer flew away, she thought of her vision. Her mind pointed her in the direction of Necromancy. Something rising from the ground, yelling that they’ll be back, sounded like Necromancy to her. And someone that wants revenge? Her mind pointed to Giratina immediately. Then again, there may be someone else... Huh...
