All the players sit in a room. There are no doors or windows. The only thing in the room is chairs and a large table. In front of each player is a golden piece of paper. On each paper, there is a gaint: N on the cover. Nemesis sits on a large chair, next to her is Glitch. Glitch stands there with her arms crossed. "Welcome players!" Nemesis shouts. A look of glee resting on her face. "To the one hundred and twenty second games" she sighs. "Man that gets annoying to say each year... Anyway, I am here to offer you a chance. A chance to renew your lives! You can obtain anything you want from winning these rewards. Unfortunately there can only be one winner" a bored look crosses over her face. "Based on the first few games, I have found that we obtain the most dramatic results if I ask for questions... so... shoot away" her expression shows that she really doesn't want to do this

Luke looks. "Can we upgrade out skills if we get enough points to?" He already knew the answer but he wanted to ask to look dumb and not get eliminated first.

Barry just sits and looks at the other players.

"Is death really necessary? I mean, this is great and all, but I'd rather not die." Marva asked warily. Why did she do this again?

Ember shook her head. She had no questions. If anything, the fighting and death might be kinda fun. Albiet a bit painful.

I'm trying to think of a good signature, so... Use your imagination.

May glances at the paper and ignores Nemesis and Glitch. She didn’t want to do this either, but hey, it got boring doing nothing after a while. She just sat in the corner, acting like she was sleeping so others wouldn’t try and talk to her. It got annoying when a conversation started.

Roxanne, being the shy and young girl she was, was also sitting alone. She listened to Nemesis and Glitch, but did nothing to respond or react to it. She avoided all eye contact with everyone there and just stared at the small scar on her hand as she waited.

Bane wasn’t doing so well with listening. He stared at everyone, silently judging them and thinking up ways he could beat them up. Yep, he’s that type of guy...

Nemesis laughs at Luke's question. "Of course, and you'll get plenty of opportunity to do it" Marva's question it answered by Glitch.
"Death is absolutely necessary. You are being given an opportunity to have whatever you want!" She snaps. Her voice is ice cold. It's clear she isn't over what Nemesis has done to her. "There must be a cost for something to great"

Azuyu silently sat in his chair, looking around. He Had no questions-
Of course death would be necessary but hey why not? the reward was good after all. His eyes then turned back to the letter

Rizu looked at Glitch and Nemesis "Do we get to wish for anything we want if we win? Or are there any things that are not allowed or have consequenzes?"

"Anything you desire I can grant" Nemesis replies, a small smile on her face. "What is it you desire? To bring back the dead? Have a superpower? Your opportunities are limitless"
"That's a lie" Glitch replies. "You can't wish for anything that impacts the Game... Trust me, I've tried" she glances away from the group when Nemesis shoots her a sharp look.
"Like my dear Glitch has stated. The only drawback is that you cannot wish for anything that affects the game. But I doubt you guys want to do that..."

Roxanne looks up at the two in curiosity. Anything she wanted...? She wanted to know so much more but didn’t want to speak up. All the attention would be on her, then she would get nervous and not able to ask the question... She just sat in silence, hoping others would ask her questions. She was ok with dying, lot like she had anything left to do in life.

May was getting pretty bored. She wanted to cut straight to the chase, she didn’t care about all these pointless questions, she wanted to do the fun stuff.

Nemesis waits for a minute, when nobody asks any questions she continues. "If there aren't anymore questions..." a portal appears behind her. "You can step through the portal. If there are any more questions... I'll send Glitch to answer them. You can summon her by raising your letter into the air" she glances over at the portal. "Once you step through the portal, your stats will be activated. They could make you stronger in some areas, and weaker in others" she smiles at them again. "Best of luck to all of you"

Bane let out a sigh as he sat up and walked through the portal, grinning at the fact that he was finally able to have fun. He hoped for good stats, good enough to dominate everyone and win the game.

May opened her eyes and glanced at the portal, then at everyone around her. She slightly shrugged and slowly walked to the portal, hoping that there wasn’t another speech or whatever

Roxanne stayed sitting and waited, inside if she wanted to go in the portal or not.

Nemesis raises an eyebrow at Roxanne. "It isn't too late to leave the games. There will be no consequences... well... there'll be a small memory loss, but that's better than death" she turns towards the other players, she patiently waits for the other players to move. She has all the time in the world, she has been hosting and creating these games for thousands of years, she is use to hesitation.

Glitch enters the portal. She is going to help the other players get settled. A bright light hits her face. It reminds her of the time she was a player. She smiles at this thought, she misses that time. She had hope then. When she lands she is met with a sudden heat. Sand blows around her, she even spots a tumbleweed in the distance. This wouldn't be a fun lobby

"By the way..." Nemesis says. Her voice echos in the minds of those who are already in the lobby. "Last years theme was jungle, this time, it's going to be a desert. I do hope that you brought your sunscreen"

Gleen narrows her eyes at Nemesis. "I'm not leaving. No matter what." she says. Her red hair twisted into a bun behind her head. Her determined expression makes her look frightening. "I'm here for a reason." she says.


Sorrel looks at the other players. "Why are they here?" she wonders.

Tazuli sighs, she doesn’t really have any questions to ask, she didn’t really cared about death anyway, she walked into the portal, if there wasn’t any consequences the prize will probably suck after all

Amane followed behind Tazuli, he have some questions but rather not ask, there’s only one winner huh? Then either him or Tazuli need to die, but he didn’t want to leave either

Gleen goes through portal. She doesn't look back. Her hair is the last thing to enter the portal. Her eyes close as she goes through.



Woven looks away and closes her eyes. "Protégenos la salvación" she says. She calmly walks through the portal. Her one weapon would be her knowledge.


Sorrel had also walked through the portal. She was hesitant though. "Is this it?" she wonders to herself. "How I end?"

Roxanne shook her head subtly, then slowly got up and walked to the portal. Like Glitch, the light hit her face and reminded her of the times she would run around in her yard with her brother. Those days were long gone but she still longed for them. She accidentally met May’s gaze and instantly got stiff. She quickly looked away and hoped she didn’t notice.

May sighed and looked around. “Just stop with the games already...” she muttered to Nemesis. She looked at Roxanne with curiosity, observing her like an intricate puzzle. Once they met each other’s gaze, she narrowed her eyes. She already didn’t like this girl...

Bane observed his surroundings, ignoring Glitch, Roxanne, and May. He sighed and waited for everyone to “join the lobby” or whatever.

Aqua steps through the portal and feels something strange wring up inside her, like her skills had been activated. She thinks about how she could kill the rest and win her family unlimited money. She would start with the strongest, slowly picking them off one by one... That was a great idea! This is going to be FUN~ Aqua thinks

Luke, with air pods in his ear, goes into the portal. He didn’t really have anything to lose, knowing he had nothing to come home to after he knew he would probably die, and he was a disappointment to his family because of his brother winning one of the games. He was never strong, just smart and fast.
Barry goes through the portal, ignoring everyone else. Why did he sign up for this? He never wanted to die, but it was good to go down in honor but he didn’t want to go down like this. He made his choice by signing up.

Tazuli appeared out of the portal along with Amane, she looked around a bit “well this is going to be interesting” she muttered to herself

Amane thought about another thing, this is a yearly thing, right? If that’s the case many people would have died at the same time without getting the prize, otherwise when they go back to the real world it would have been announced, this is bad, and there’s no going back now

Nemesis grins at May. She likes her spirit already. "Oh honey, the games haven't even begun..." she doesn't break her gaze away from May's. Nemesis's eyes are lifeless. She technically isn't programmed to even feel emotion, so it would be like staring into the eyes of a doll.

Glitch snaps her fingers. The letters that each player has starts to glow. "Turn the card over to see the map. As you can see, there are temples in the North and South. The one by the North has a water source, that'll be the best place to live" she looks bored as she speaks. "Ugh, I wish Nemesis would start the games already, this is so boring"
