In the world of Catania, the Evil Pugomancer has long since been defeated. The Guilds have lived in peace for years, but now, a new evil strikes...and the cats must find what it is, and band together to stop it.

High in the mountains, there is a tower, the Tower of Dragons. Below this tower are many dungeons with hidden treasure, and of course, dragons. Little did the cats know that the dragons want their treasure to add to their hoards. The treasure they are after, however, is no one physical object, but all magic. Dragons want magic for themselves, all of it. That is why they must be stopped!

Our Hero Guild starts their adventure on day one, crawling out of their boxes at the Guild Base, ready to start training to rise to the occasion of a new threat, as Starlight, the Guild leader, a silver tabby she-cat with a paintbrush weapon and a dress depicting stars on a black sky, bares the news of dragon attacks rising in frequency.

Alex, stops playing with a tiny fireball to listen, pricking his long ears up. I wonder what's going on, he thinks. He isn't part of the guild, but intends on joining very soon. A group of cats where he gets to meet more cats and fight off evil? Count him in! His orange fur gleams in the sunlight as he overhears the news of dragon attacks.

Miko yawns, crawling out of the box she'd been sleeping in, and silently approaches Starlight where she is being surrounded by a group of Guild cats. Dragons? Why were they attacking? It seemed Starlight knew about as little as she did, and stopped, saying it was 'just a warning' and warily made her way toward the fortress to rest. Miko too the time to stretch her limbs, the seemingly ordinary black cat looked nothing special compared to the more evolved heroes. The only special thing about her were her purple markings on her paws, inner ears, and tail tip. On the edge of the crowd, she notices a ginger cat outside the Guild's stone walls. Who was this? A possible recruit? Many cats came to join the Guild for the sake of protecting Catnia, and it looked like Starlight wasn't going to notice this one, so she nimbly made her way through the crowd and slipped over the wall, planning to sneak up on him.

The leader, Starlight, walks away, and Alex intends on going to sign up now. Why wait? There's no time like the present. He tries to push through the crowd of cats, but his "sorry"s and "excuse me"s are drowned out by the cacophony of cat noises. Luckily, he was a small cat and could weave through the sea of felines. He had almost made it to the leader.

Miko stalks silently behind Alex, a living shadow. She gets through the crowd of her guildmates, brushing past them without a word or a reaction, as she went by so quick they hardly noticed, due to her sneaky skill. Crouched low to the ground, Miko crept on the newbie, then, with a devious demonic smile, pounced on him just before he could reach the leader. No sound came out of her, as she was a master at being silent, so he wouldn't notice her attack until he felt her paws on his back.

Alex whips around, feeling a pressure on his back. His fur puffs up a little in surprise (not much, he's pretty scrawny), but quickly comes back down. The jump scare had come from a purple-black cat, probably a guild member being in this area, he analyzed. She was probably a skilled spy, or was at least very sneaky. He didn't know much about the guild, or how hard it was to get in, but this was a good opportunity (and he, or course, was a very opportunistic cat.). Alex laughs off the scare, and compliments: "If I was your enemy, I'd be dead by now." Compliments were a good way to go usually... he'd have to see.

Miko laughs almost demonically as she slides off. "Noticed you were new and decided to greet ya!" Miko didn't have any weapons yet, and probably wouldn't have killed an enemy that easily, but appreciated the complement. "Anyway, were you going to join us? I would guess that's why you were chasing after Starlight?" Miko glanced in the direction the Guild leader had vanished into at the entrance of the fortress, that looked like a fancy castle cat tree with a hole for a door.

Alex nods. "I'm Alex, mice to meet you." He grins. This cat wasn't so bad... maybe they could be friends? He'd have to see. "And you're right about that. I do want to join the guild." He paused. His impulsiveness had caused him to try to join without knowing how. Stupid me, he thought, then asked in a sheepish tone. "Can you help me with that, please?"

"Oh? Starlight would be glad to recruit you. But, she'd be pretty tired right now. Conan is second in command almost, you should talk to him if you want to join." Miko glanced over her shoulder, looking for the dark tabby heroic tom in the crowd. One could usually find him with Catniss, the white archer cat of perceptiveness, and Francis, the ginger Persian mage. Across the Guild base, she found the three huddled together, talking about something, infinitely curious, Miko glanced back at Alex. "He'd be over there. C'mon." She gestured with her tail to follow as she made her way over to the three.

Miko had no trouble finding a good path through the shadows to slip around the crowd as she approached Conan, tapping him on the shoulder. "Hey Conan, we need to talk to you." She sat down, aware she was interrupting, but didn't want to wake Starlight, as she had obviously worn herself out.

Conan turned around, startled at the intrusion, but didn't look angry as he saw Alex. "Oh hello, sir. What brings you to our Guild?"

Conan... Alex studies him for a brief second. He had an air of authority, but also seemed like a pretty chill cat. A good leader, Alex hoped. "I'd like to join the guild, sir. Can you instruct me on how?" Alex tried to match the dark, senior cat's bit of formalness, trying to make himself appear more mature than he was.

"Ahh, I thought you'd ask that! Of course you can join! No registration required." He gave Alex a friendly smile. Meanwhile, Catniss's expression grew serious. "We might need all the help we can get, with this whole 'dragon' thing." The white cat muttered, causing Conan to turn to her, the glance back at Alex and Miko. "You heard the anouncement, right? Me, Catniss, and Francis were discussing it, it could be huge problem, and we can't seem to figure out why." he narrowed his eyes and looked at the ground, kneeding it with his paws, looking frustrated.

Miko shrugged. She was terrible at figuring these things out, as she was more of an 'attack first, ask questions later' kind of cat. She was willing to investigate as soon as Starlight woke up and went to send cats on missions again. She took the time to wonder about the newcomer, Alex, she wondered what his skills were, and his traits. She wondered how he would come to play in this new crazy thing. Maybe it wasn't crazy, maybe dragons were just stupid. Sound near the questboard caused all the cat's ears to twitch. The missioning cats were returning, and Catniss, Francis, and Conan seemed interested in what they had to say, but were holding back for Alex's sake.

Alex smiled back. "Thanks!" He noticed that the cat that had showed him here (he still didn't know her name) was eyeing him down, but he ignored it, she was probably just curious about him. He opened his mouth to ask about how questing works, and just generally unleash a whole bunch of querys and askings onto the cats, but a noise startled him.

He turned around to notice the questing cats returning. Quickly putting the pieces together that Conan and the others would much rather listen to the cats than him, he quickly said: "Look! The questing cats are returning!" He already knew that, but it was a great way to say that they all collectively wanted to listen to them, and that they shouldn't waste any more time. He turned his head back at the returning cats, eager to see what would happen.

Conan looked thoughtful. "Everyone, come on. We'd better get more insight from them." The tabby turned to Alex. "Until Starlight approves you, I'll escort you." He then glanced at Miko. "Or would you rather it be her?" He pointed at the little demon cat with his tail as he started walking towards the questboard

Alex hesitated, but only for a second. "Either would be fine," Alex responded. Both cats seemed like respectable felines. Gears began turning in his head. Starlight had to approve me... I wonder how that would work? Maybe I have to prove myself in some way? From what he had seen, all of the questing cats were very skilled and talented... Alex's skills were just his charisma and adaptability, but they had served him well for his whole life. His whiskers twitched as he wondered more about the guild.

Lyra was walking through the forest trying to find the 'Guild' she had heard so much about. She found it when she came across a clearing with a board and a few other areas where a group of cats could settle. She poked her head in waiting for someone to great her, or at least notice her.

Conan or Miko would notice her, but they were too busy talking to the five returning cats, Luna Sparkle, Oakenpaw, Nessie, Curio, and Dory. Luna sparkle, Oakenpaw, and Curio had quested to a dungeon in the mountains near the Zenpaws guild. The brought back that they had needed to stop dragons from stealing their magical items! They carried scorch and claw marks all over their bodies, it looked like it had been a tough battle. Nessie and Dory had been patrolling the town, and said that they had heard from the townfolk of the increased sightings, but hadn't fought any. Conan nodded, looking thoughtful. Glancing back at Alex, he gave a nodd to their earlier spot near the cauldron. "Then we shall both escort you. I need as many opinions on this as possible. He then went back to the spot with Francis, Catniss, and Miko behind him, wapearing matching concerned expressions.

After seeing the scorch marks and scrapes covering the returning cats, Alex is actually more fueled with determination. His tail twitches with anger at the dragons. He wouldn't put up with stealing! Again, Alex slipped through the crowded cats, following Conan and the group. "What's your name?" He asked the purple/black cat.

Lyra quietly tip-pawed into the camp kinda hoping that she could speak to the leader first. She wasn't a very graceful, so she tripped on a branch and fell with a loud 'Thunk' she imediately got up hoping no one saw her. Then she noticed a calico she-cat in a purple mages outfit. "Who are you?" Said the calico with no holding back.'Your not trying to steal him from me are you?! HE'S MINE!" Snarled the she-cat. "No, I'm here to join your guild, how do i excatly?" Said Lyra with confusion in her voice. "Oh, let me show you!" Replied the mage. "Btw my name's Purrcilla, whats yours?" Asked Purrcilla. "Lyra..."Replied the excited she-cat. And so off they went so Lyra could become part of the Guild.
