While fishing in Emera Beach, how do you know if you've caught a colored Magikarp? Will it appear as a regular one in your inventory until adopted, or does it appear as a totally new species?

It should do the same when you catch shinies, it separates them from normal ones also pretty sure they can only be caught with a special fishing rod
