You live in a world where pain is the universal currency. Mental and physical. Everyone is born with a “bracelet” that shows how much pain you experience. The numbers go down as you buy things, but what people don’t know is that the pain sticks with them. The experience sticks with you. The payment just makes you forget about it and heals those wounds. There are criminals that strip the pain away from people permanently, making them criminals in this society. Oh, did I mention a catch? Well... The more pain you experience, the more they get into your head. They make you insane, they make you kill others to force your pain up. Yes... only they can make killing your pain too. Fun, isn’t it?

Libbi was sitting in a dark room, wrapped in chains. She was cuffed to the solid 3 feet thick concrete floor. Her neck was in a collar with chains attaching it to the floor, her hands and legs were the same. She had a metal mask strapped to her head with chains leading to the floor as well. Some thugs did this, some that had gained the insanity trait. They wanted to murder her and take her pain as her own. She was laughing hysterically, but it was just hollow echos against the metal mask on her face. She kept rubbing the chains against herself, hoping to get a few cuts in on herself. The heavy titanium door was swung open and 2 large and buff men walked through. “Try all you want b****... You ain’t gettin through those...” one of them said.

*After giving his pain points to the pharmacy buying the bottle cola he started to drink it, slwoly feeling the effects that he was gonna get drunk sooner or later. He kept drinking wanting let himself loose completely*

She couldn’t say anything while she had the mask over her face, but she laughed even more hysterically. One of them went up to her and raised their arm and put the palm of their hand in front of her face. She surrounded in a weird green light and her laughter calmed down. These guys were the healers.

“Now... be a good dog and be quiet, and stay.” The other one mocked. They laughed as they exited the room. Libbi narrowed her eyes and stopped laughing. She knew she had to break free, but how? Hmm... well... She closed her eyes and started laughing again. She didn’t know why she laughed, she just did. The room progressively got darker and darker until it was pitch black. The chains melted to black as well, leaving her free of being imprisoned. The darkness clears and she was somehow in her room. Was it them? She heard that the more rich you were, the more they would be more powerful. She shrugged it off and looked around her room, wondering what to do next.

Dallas was up bright and early in one of her usual spots. She often switched spots at random so that she would stay under the radar of cops. Her "drugs" she stole were pain meds. Double the price of course, but many people came to her for her reputation. Today she wears a simple black dress. She rests on the hood of her car, perking up when an old man moves towards her. She smiles at him, he comes every day. "How much do you want now?" She asks. He answers with a high number. "You know what to do" she tells him. He nods and extends an arm. She uses a simple surgical blade, cutting his arm to gather pain points from him. He no longer feels the pain of the knife. She wipes the blade clean and gives him the meds. "Thank you" he tells her "hopefully these will finally do the job" with those parting words he stumbles away. She watches him go with an emotionless look.

*Enigma was drunk but he saw the deal going clearly. The man got some "drugs" in this world even pain can be a drug for the sadistic but he thought of those to be point multipliers of sorts, he just continued walking to his home to rest and maybe he figure what to do next*

(Oh I meant for them to be regular pain medication, like it takes away pain. But that's a neat concept if Cosmixx is okay with it. They can cause pain and multiply how many pain points you get)

Dallas pulls out a journal. She writes down numbers in it, trying to calculate how many life points she'll potentially spend this week. She's quickly rising up the ranks and becoming rich fast. But that doesn't mean she'll live in a life of luxary. There is a certain skum she must clense first. Sure enough, one of them show up. She recognizes the look he gives her immediately. He is younger than the others, actually closer to her age. Neverless, she'll have to wipe him out immediately. "Mantis" he says with a slight purr in his voice. "I've been looking for you, you've been avoiding our dates" she rolls her eyes at that. She wanted to make sure he was worth killing and after learning of his crimes, she was sure of it. "Right" she replies. "I've been busy. Meet me here at midnight" she almost forgets to lighten her voice, not that he notices the tone anyway. He nods and eagerly leaves, a slight skip in his stride. She's glad he doesn't turn around, because if looks could kill, he'd be dead where he stands.

Adrian was leaning against a wall in a street corner, staring at his Pain Meter. The number seemed pretty high yet he didnt feel much. He also didnt feel the need to buy stupid things just to give away the points he had collected for so much time. Straightening himself to his full high the skinny male looked around to make sure nobody was there to attack him. He hated fighting others due to the posibility of loosing to them.

He adjusted his mask and hoodie, then decided to go a bit deeper into the alley he was at

*Enigma soon started to had nightmares of his past life of all he did both the good and bad everything has he ever done started to flood him and suddenly 10 people stood behind him there faces covered and covered in shadow but he knew 5 of the figures very well and started to walk toward him. The figure hold a mallet and rush toward with intent to killed and suddenly he violently wakes up sweating intensely and his pain meter rose a little*

Libbi decided to go outside for one, get some fresh air. She smiled like the Joker before opening her door and walked out. Her “high” was going down, so she felt a bit calmer. That also meant she became quite self-aware and anxious. Dark memories clouded her thoughts and tears filled her eyes. She stopped in the middle of the doorframe, staring at the floor. A few years dropped onto the floor as the smile quickly disappeared. Everything she did in the past came back to her, such as murders and other cruel and unbearable burdens.
