THE KINGDOM


The Kingdom is set in the interior of a massive, snow-white castle. xx. after taking in the exterior, you decide to go inside. following the corridor you come out into a split. xx. This is like the main communing area for all cats - be it any rank. If you go down the stairs, you will come unto a beautiful white marble room. xx. That is the acolytes and the lead priestess' study room. Books are tucked up into the cupboards at night. Going back up to the 'split' following the hallway, which opens up to commons. The queen addresses her court from the balcony. Taking the door to the left of the commons, one comes across this. xx. This is the royal libraries (yes cats can read and write). Going back out to the commons and taking a right will take you to the guard's barracks. One of the most important landmarks of the camp is at the very bottom, the basement. After taking a long winding white marble staircase down, you find yourself at the entrance of a massive, dark tunnel which leads down to a cave. xx The air here is chilly and crisp, and the faint sound of rushing water invites you deeper. The rock is damp underfoot, but pleasantly so. Eventually the rock forms into formal stairs, which leads to the underground pool xx. There is a set of stairs that lead directly to the queen's palace, and there are always three guards posted at the entrance. Behind the guards is a fence for further reinforcement.

the queen is the overarching leader of the Court. she is the mortal incarnation of the empress (a goddess aka chairnor). she holds absolute power, although few actually abuse this. a queen does not have nine lives as in canon warrior cats, and when she rises to power she gets the suffix -light. she is the one who facilitates all of the court ceremonies. the queen is also assisted and guided by her Handmaid. rarely, if the king is unavailable, the handmaid will assist with concerns with the commoner's concerns. if the queen passes away without producing an heir, the handmaid's firstborn daughter will succeed her. if neither of them produce an heir, the handmaid initiates the Trial of Whiteblades a brutal fight for submission to take the throne. the trial is exceedingly rare however.
