Chapter 1


Sierra ran through the woods, barely alive. Something was following her, something wanted to kill her. What was it? She didn’t know. She didn’t dare to look back.

”What do you want?” Sierra yelled. She needed a break, she was running for almost 2 hours. She couldn’t keep this up and they knew it. All we want is to stay with you. No one lets us stay, they always push us away. Stay with us. You will be happy with us...

”Why should I? You are chasing me like a killer!” Sierra kept running, weaving through the trees. Her heart was pounding, her lungs burned. The sun was setting and she felt it getting closer.

”Such a shame... We would love for you to be with us. Such a twisted mind, dark soul, an aura of sadness, that is perfect for us.” Their words echoed in her ear, somehow soothing Sierra. She tried to fight it, but her legs couldn’t handle it anymore. She slowed down, hoping she wouldn’t get caught.

”What are you talking about?” She yelled. She eventually felt them right over her.”What do you-“

Sierra couldn’t speak anymore. She tried yelling out but it was no use. It felt like her mouth was clamped shut. ”Shhh... Don’t speak... Stay still, don’t resist...” Sierra, of course, tried to resist. She couldn’t, she was trapped. The felt like she was falling into a deep void, everything turned black. She collapsed on the floor, allowing them to do what they wanted. ”Finally... We have been waiting...”

”Hey! What’s going on!” Colton went to the unconscious body of Sierra. He looked around but couldn’t see what caused it. But they were right there, right above Sierra ”Oh goodness... What happened to you!?”

They stayed silent, hoping Colton would go away. They had their chance, and they wanted to keep it. ”I need to get you to somewhere safe...” Colton looked around for something he could put Sierra on. He wouldn’t be able to lift her up, or drag her. ”What’s wrong little guy? Can’t save your princess? Aw, how sweet!” The whispers filled the forest. It made it seem like the trees were speaking as one.

”SH_- UP” Colton’s face glitched out a bit. This occasionally happened, so he wasn’t worried.

”Poor guy, he cant even defend himself...”The voice echoed much louder. Colton growled at them then looked around for something to use. He saw a wide piece of bark and some other materials to drag Sierra to his house. He grabbed his crutches and headed to gather the materials, keeping an eye on her.

Colton put the materials on the bark, then pushed the bark towards Sierra. ”Hopefully this will work...”
