Long ago, the Lunar Court was divided into four clans, separated by their beliefs
and personalities. Cats died everyday in the vicious battles over borders
and prey. Each clan thought they had claim to the land and prey which
lead to more blood being spilled. The Gods looked down upon the clans with
great disappointment. The clans were supposed to live in peace and thrive
on the land but instead were tearing each other apart. The Gods did nothing
about the battles until an innocent kit was mercilessly killed in one them. Astralia,
the young god of starlight, rose and told the clans that this must stop. She was on
e of the first cats who had turned down the fighting in the first place, and now with
the loss of a kit, she could standby no more. They were to become
one clan under the Gods to create peace for all cats. At first, it was smooth,
however soon starvation and disorganization became prevalent. When the clan was
on the brink of collapse, one patrol met a beautiful loner, a fae who went by the name
of Avdite. She had been sent by the goddess Qraanke. Avdite established order among
the ranks, and found every cat a place within the clan. Had Avdite never been found,
the clans would have collapsed. As time wore on, Avdite chose a King; the name
remains lost in the endless wind of time, and revealed herself to be a goddess herself.
In the honor of their savior, the Court established "Avdite's Trials" so as to compete for
Avdite's Hand and become the New High King. But, with power comes conflict. There
are whisperings in the clan that there might be a traitor, a worshipper of Rhulotl, the
god of death, evil and chaos, who has something in particular planned for Avdite's
Trials....and those who wish to compete within it...
