Tannel watched from a distance, backing off. This wasn’t his battle.

"Created...?" Garoka repeated out of confusion. His eyes turned back over to Tora as the tentacles thrashed around recklessly. "So she eats souls?" He murmured to himself. "That must have been what she was trying to do with me," he concluded, suddenly feeling a bit nauseous at the thought of having his soul eaten. He shook the thought away and crouched down, putting his hands on the ground. A white glow emitted from his palms as he transmuted a meter-long spear. He turned his eyes over to Kakete. "I hope I can trust you, " he said as he held the spear out in Tora's direction.

The screaming from Tora eventually stopped, All there was is a body wrapped in tentacles. It started writhing around.

“Nova,” Maya murmured. “If Tora is a murderer, then what does that make me? I killed Solas. I killed Cody. But I don’t see you trying to ring my neck.” She hissed. “Or Maddox’s.” She was defending Tora, keeping her staff active. The grass was wilting rapidly around her feet, and sweat beaded on her neck, barely visible through her mess of dark curls.

Nova looked at Maya. "Yes you did, but yet you feel sorry because you regreted your actions, just like Maddox didn't intend on killing Grandar. Sometimes these things just happen. If there's anything I've learned is that some things are out of our control, and when they happen you give yourself time to morn then pick yourself back up. When someone you care about dies they never really leave you and you dont really forget them, they live on in you."

(I was trying to be inspriational but I think I failed.)

Garoka stood completely still, save for the slight trembling of his hands. He was still trying to process everything. "Tora was created by someone...she's a monster who's killed so many people and has had no regrets about it, yet...I don't...I don't want to kill her..." he mumbled, unsure of what would be the best action to take. To be blunt, Garoka really wanted to just run away and forget about the whole situation; he figured he could just deal with his clan's disappointment at another time. Or maybe they would understand... He took a step back, the idea of being massacred along with Nova, Maya, Kakete, and possibly all of the audience not really sounding the most pleasing to him. At the same time, however, he was drawn towards the situation, as if he wanted to wait and see what would be the outcome. If I stay here, there's a fat chance I'll die, but if I leave...my whole clan will see me as a failure, and I would've come all this way for nothing. He shook his head, having quickly made up his mind. I'll stay here and fight, if I need to. If possible, though, his eyes fell on Tora, eyebrows furrowing in sympathy. "I want to help her."



tldr: garoka has an internal war about whether he should stay or run away and decides to stay

The tentacles started to expand, Rapidly. Pushing Maya out of the way and everything in its path. Something was forming, And it wasn’t human.

Kakete frowned, “This is something that I expected. Be ready to die.” He said frankly.

“I didn’t make this, Her ancestors have over the year. From what I’ve been told that’s how they’ve won every year. They found a forbidden way to inject powers of the previous winners into their children. This was a technique used by the clan that I beat for clan head.” Kakete explained. “This next stage she will enter is where her body will be taken over by the creature she’s been holding in” he said.

The ball of tentacles kept expanding. Shoving and throwing everything in their way.

Kakete nodded, “These monsters are made up of different parts of each dead clan member. In each tentacle there could be an arm, Leg, finger, toe, or something else” he said. “When you remove them you significantly remove the monster, But. It will kill the host inside.” He said.

Suddenly, The monster emerged. A beast with ten giant tentacles formed. It was about the size of a few school buses on top of eachother. It’s face was scarred and bruised. Tora’s head could be seen on its chest.
