So recently a leak of the Gold/Silver demo released with some pretty interesting cut pokemon.
Thought it might be cool to share it here. (When're these getting added to pokeheroes!!!)

Check out the cutting room floor page here!

I can't get over this little one personally.

I can't believe the demo actually got leaked! I was always pretty interested in the spaceworld demo and the known cut mons like Kurusu, and always hoped that someone would manage to find more screenshots of the demo, but I never would've imagined this happening! I thought the demo would've been lost to time by now, but I'm happy it's not.

But anyways, if my counting's right, there's 99 Johto mons in the demo, which is pretty much the size of the final Johto dex, but it's so strange since so many of them go unused or are drastically changed in the final. (my favorite unused mon is probably the one that looks like an Aipom cat)

But I'm so glad that the legendary beasts got changed, Raikou's giving me Cloud vives with its anime hair, and Suicune looks a little too much like Nina from FMA for my liking.

I can't get over the fact that they cut Meowsy, because it's so cute and wonderful and definitely my favorite cut baby. (I also love Anchorage, beta Girafarig, the Rinring line, Puddi, the beta Hoppip line, the Tigrette line, the Kurstraw line, and the Wolfman line. I wonder who thought it was a good idea to cut all of the cool Pokemon in this and instead replace them with stuff like Stantler.)

And I find it super interesting that the region was all of Japan, and that it's so huge that Kanto was compressed into just one city. Really makes you think of how huge the map would be if it could be displayed in full, with all of the towns and cities as full regions. I'm assuming this was still before Gamefreak decided to make more Pokemon games, so they wanted to go all out with the scale of the world.

But, Giovanni and Misty E4? That's way cooler than the two random people we got in the final game. I wonder about what effects that would have on the story though; it looks to me like Team Rocket was still in the demo, so they can't really do the thing they were doing in the final game, since that would make them look stupid.

Also, nice picture comparing the beta and final versions of Pokemon, it made me laugh, especially the Feraligatr and Aquaria comparison.
