Luna sighed as she watched the sun peak over the tree line. It was mid day and she still hadn't found anything to hunt for the pack. She looked back and saw Sky following Fang. She had wanted them to work together that day on stalking and possibly hunting if they found anything.

Solar sat in the shadows quietly and sighed evn though he and Luna have known each other since they were pups they had lost touch unknowing that Silver and Star were sneaking up behind him.

Luna shook her head and headed out once more to try to get even an elk calf for the pack to eat. Especially with Lyra due any day now, they needed food for her.

Luna shook her head as she padded after Solar. She leaped over a few low branches and fallen trees as she looked around, sniffing for any sign of prey.

Luna gently pushed Solar off of her and shook off her fur. "What do you need to tell me" she asked. She kept her ears alert in case something came near for them to eat.

Luna stiffened up and jumped back. She shook her head trying to think. Her father's word were thrown into her mind and it stung her. *As Alpha you can ONLY pick a mate who will benefit the pack.* She shook her head once more before she stood up to follow Solar. She knew her father meant well, but would it hurt if she picked from her heart.
