And how does your conversation with them go on? I spoke to my mom on Sunday get a knock on my door today it's my sibling wanting me to call my mom because she is upset I didn't call her. Is this normal?:S

When i was at university my mom used to call me constantly and she would be upset if i didnt answer but i eventually calmly told her that i needed space to make my own life and that i would talk to her as much as i could manage alongside making new friends and studying. We got on a lot better after that. And now i speak to them weekly as much as i can now that im working and making my own life with my own family.

I live far from my parents and can't afford to make an international calls regularly, but I try to call them at least once a week. They live in Portugal and first time I often checked the country code online to make international calls. Sometimes I use Skype or Viber to call them for free but unfortunately they not always have access to a solid Internet connection.

Also in college, and don't really have time to call my parents. I text them a couple times a week though, much easier, and it makes them happy.

I wouldn't say I call them since I live with them. But if talking to them is considered, then I definitely do it all the time. Though what they talk about bugs me more than it's interesting.
