Hello! One of my Pokemon came back from a Alola rumble mission and found an egg.
Would hatching the Alolan egg break my current shiny chain?

I think the egg comes under the "Other" category in regards to its effect on the chain, but I'd like some form of clarification.

No.

You can check for yourself here, by the way. Rumbling, in your case, isn't specifically listed, which means that, yes, you choose the 'Other' option.
