Is something going on behind the scenes that is effecting clicks? Everything else on my end is running smoothly so I figured I'd search and see if anyone else is getting huge delays/clicks not counting while they're clicking.

Depends. Which clicklist are you using? I've noticed it can lag sometimes, but it almost always lags during the newest adoptions, since iirc it's trying to load new eggs but there's not always one being adopted.
