Evolving after Everstone

So I got a few pokemon that held Everstones, well on passed the levels for evolution; I removed the stones, but they have yet to evolve at all. Is there a way for me to get them to evolve, or are they forever stuck?

Some may have to be traded to evolve or be given a certain item to evolve. Also if the evolve by level they will need to go up a level if they had an everstone on them.

This page may help you figure out if they do need an item or not.
