Kylee sighed as she banged her fists on the door of Oak’s lab. “My gosh! Hurry and open the door!” She muttered angrily.

Rose walked beside her brother smiling as she talked, his expression, blank, not really listening. The twins were delayed on their journey due to their father moving a lot and finally ending in Kanto. They saw Kylee and walked up. "Is Oak being lazy again" Rose asked.

“Who’re you?” Kylee asked, raising an eyebrow. “Late journeys too?” She smiled. She’d been delayed due to an illness, and other tasks.

Rose nodded. "Yeah. Our father kept moving for his job and finally came here" she said. "My name is Rosemary, Rose for short if you want, and the quiet one is James" she said. James simply nodded and looked at the door before Oak walked up from the outside. The professor hadn't even been in the labe yet for the day.

"Hi! I'm Kylee. Oh, Oak! Hey." Kylee waved. "Weren't in the lab yet, huh? Morning." She smiled. Kylee stepped to the side so Oak could enter.

Oak smiled. "Looks like you three are ready to pick your Pokemon huh?" He asked as he unlocked the door and offered for them to go first.

Rose nodded as she walked in. "I would love a Charmander. They are so cute" she said. She looked at Kylee. "Oh, and it's very nice to meet you Kylee."

James looked at Rose before he shrugged and walked in. "I just hope to become the champion of Kanto" he said. He was pretty much done traveling the world, unlike Rose who wanted to keep traveling.

Rose smiled. "I guess that will leave James with Bulbasaur" she said as James picked up the Pokeball with a leaf on it.

"Fine by me" James said as he watched Oak turn on all the lights.

Oak smiled. "I hope you all are ready for your journey to begin. I know you all might be delayed, but sometimes waiting is better."

Oak shook his head. "Just take these Pokedexs, have fun and be safe" he said with a smiled as he handed Rose and James theirs before he held out Kylee's Pokedex.

Rose smiled. "Thank you" she said before she saw James leave without saying goodbye. She looked at Kylee. "Want to travel together" she asked.
