A few years back, a laboratory was shut down after conducting illegal experiments. Their aim was to create human-animal hybrids by fusing animal and human DNA together. They continued to develop the embryos into actual “humans”. When discovered some of the successful experiments were months old, some were even a year or two. It was obvious that some didn’t make it and were found deceased on the property. The laboratory was instantly shut down and the children that were alive were taken away.

The children were unable to be given to human families and were therefore taken to a detention center, built especially for them. As soon as they arrived, they were also given names as they were previously only identifiable by numbers. DNA tests were taken - if they were fortunate enough, they’d be given the surname of their human parent(s). The DNA tests were also able to tell them what animal they had been fused with. Just like regular human growth, some of the children’s physical animal features showed quicker than others. Whether that was the weird ears, tail, whiskers, claws, signs of horns, patches of fur or markings on the skin. Behaviour was another thing that the animal DNA was thought to control. Overall, some appeared and acted more human than others.

The detention center itself was rather large, big enough for the approximately 200 children, not including staff, which lived there - you could compare it to a boarding school. It had a ground floor, first floor and second floor, as well as a basement (containing the generator, boiler and supplies) which only staff are allowed to go access.

Located on the ground floor is: the reception office, which monitors attendance; Kitchen, mostly used by staff; Cafeteria, location of breakfast, lunch and dinner; Laundry room, as students are still expected to do chores; Nurses office, for minor illnesses and injuries; Library, contains a wide array of books from manga to fiction and non fiction; Games room, one of the many places for the children to relax and socialize; Changing rooms and the gymnasium, as exercise is still important.

On the first floor you can find many classrooms and lockers. Maths and English take up the majority of them. Science, Art, Music, Computer Technology, Languages, Geography and History also have their own rooms. Though, Maths, English and Gym are compulsory for students. Students are expected to take either two more subjects, or one and use their free period to study in the library.

Dorms are on the second floor. Students can have a dorm of their own or can share with one other person. All dorms have, per person: a single bed, bedside table, lamp, a chair and desk, and a closet. However, bathrooms are shared for space purposes. Toilets are available on all floors. They, dorms, bathrooms and changing rooms are split into male and female for student safety.

Outside is fairly open, though, the entire center is surrounded by an electric fence. There’s a few trees scattered here and there, some fruit and others general trees. The center has its own garden where it grows its own vegetables and flowers. There’s also a playground-like area and multiple table-benches for those who wish to eat outside when the weather is decent. Not forgetting the track for outside sports.

But until you’ve completed your 18th year and graduated, you’re stuck here.

Not really rules but still important-
- There isn’t really a plot, but at least try to stick to the schedule
- If there is a reason(s) as to why a male and female are sharing dorms just make sure to explain in your form - I’ll more than likely accept it
- I trust y’all with the time control if I’m not online
- Subject Options include: Science, Art, Music, Computer Technology, Languages, Geography, History and Study - Pick two.
