"Well, yes," Beau said bluntly in response, then immediately regretted it. Way to come off as rude, he chided himself silently, quickly following up his statement with something else to salvage the conversation. "That's why I happen to be here, is what I meant. Do you know where she is right now? Was the last time you saw her this morning?"

''right here, i just said she left... last i saw of Silver was her disappearing down those stairs'' he said, pointing at the stairs that led down at the end of the hall.
Mango glanced away and he hugged himself again, ears drooped and tail tucked once more, and sighed.
''i... really didn't want her to leave.... i don't want to loose her to those bas----'s on the front line..'' he muttered, sadness creeping into his voice along with a bit of heartache, the last sentence he muttered laced with hatred towards the military.

Beau clenched his teeth together with frustration and stared into the blankness of the stairwell. He was itching to sprint away to find Silver before she could cover any more ground--the girl was quick--but the information that Mango could potentially have was far more valuable to him. "I don't either. Do you know where she's going exactly? Or even an idea?"

''all i could say is she could be heading to where one of the guard outposts are in the city, which ever one she's stationed at from my assumption.... she never said where she was going'' Mango sighed, rubbing his arm a bit before looking back up at Beau.
he tilted his head slightly and squinted a little, trying to get a better look at his face.
''you look oddly familiar.....'' he muttered, not quite able to pin Beau's face to the memory that popped into his head.

Beau twisted his mouth and rubbed his temples. Helping her while she was already with the Force would be a nightmare--he would have to hurry to get to her before. He snapped his attention back to Mango when he spoke again, recognizing the squint. As one of the more unimportant members of the royal family, he got that look a lot.
He shrugged in response. "I can't recall ever meeting you before, but it was a pleasure to do so today. Thanks for the help."
He darted off to the stairs, hoping to catch Silver.

he blinked as he watched Beau run off, ear's twitching a little as a hint of curiosity sparked in his olive eyes, slipping his shoes off to run after him barefoot so he was silent.
in the back of his head Mango knew it was a terrible idea to be following someone he just met, but the fact Beau knew Silver was what triggered his curiosity.

after some time Willow had finished and was sitting over where Yuzuki was and had been helping him with the bulky(toddler safe) lego's to build a small town, humming softly while Yuzuki laughed happily.
she was happy she now had a job and could properly save up some money or the future, for both her and Yuzuki.

Felix simply stood outside out of Jinx's line of sight but was able to see Willow, a small sly, crooked grin crossing his face.
quite a charming young lady... taking care of such a young child all by herself, definitely headstrong and dedicated.... that's for sure he thought, then turned and left back to his home.

The beat of Beau's staggering heart strained his ribcages, sending nervous jitters to his hands. His muscles were impulsively tightened as he darted out of Silver's apartment building. He had made so many innocent promises to her as a child--to let one of his best friends be devoured by the savagery that was the feline army was something Beau would never be able to forgive himself for.
She wouldn't just go straight to her post... nobody sane would want to rush there, anyways, he thought, stuffing his shaking fists into the safety of his jacket pockets as he racked his brain. Silver was sentimental underneath the harsh exterior that she had built for herself, and as far as Beau knew her she had been loyal and good-hearted; the only logical stop he thought that she would take would have to be the cemetery. He darted into the crowd and mapped out the quickest route.

Rowan was walking back to the Bluebird's Nest. His day had been painfully uneventful, with his superiors demanding that he sit through a two-hour meeting discussing a job that took place during the nighttime, and even though Jinx had advised him to stay away from the apothecary for a while he wanted nothing more than to go to sleep. His approximate speed of three miles an hour seemed to be faster than the pace at which his brain was working, which was why his first instinct was to flash his notoriously charming smile at the attractive lop-eared rabbit that he had noticed was walking his way. It took him far too long to piece together the scar on the stranger's mouth and his air of charm and confidence as a probable sign that he was a fellow criminal of some sort, a fact that he quickly brushed off in favor of thinking about the wonderful nap he had been looking forward to all day.

why is he going for the graveyard....? Mango wondered, eyebrows furrowing before he decided to take a shortcut and went through an alleyway.
he pushed on a plank to a wooden fence and ducked underneath it, taking one of his old route's to the cemetery since he knew how the traffic along the streets could be.
might as well pay mom a visit... it's been a while he thought, snatching up a couple flower's from a fallen and forgotten flowerpot that had started flourish.

Felix noticed Rowan and his grin widened slightly, an eyebrow rising a little as he slowed his pace and dropped his head slightly, raising his free hand to stop Rowan to speak, gently gripping Rowan's shoulder once he managed to stop him.
''your sister chose quite a lovely lady as her assistant.... it'd be a shame if somethin' happened to her on your watch Corvus....'' he chuckled, patting his shoulder before he hurried on his way, disappearing around a corner before Rowan would be able to try and follow him.

In hindsight, it was probably unwise for Beau to slip into a cemetery the way he did--with urgency rampant in his eyes and walking as fast as he could--but he was lucky to not be seen or noticed by any of the three people that were in eyesight. Usually, he drew a lot of attention, being a tiger and much less a vaguely familiar semi-public figure. He skimmed the names embedded into the gravestones as he darted by, finally noticing a cloaked figure hunched over his destination. Oh, thank god, he thought, letting out a relieved breath and approaching her slowly.
She heard the footsteps and her head snapped behind her shoulder warily.
"Hey," Beau said, stopping himself from saying her name. He could never know what security precautions they had taken. "I heard about... your situation. Come on. Let's get out of here." He put out his hand and she took it without hesitation, taking a meek and final glance at the grave before following him out of the cemetery.

Literally who was that, Rowan thought, rubbing his eyes and watching Felix leave. On another day, he would have been aggressive and even the slightest bit wary, but any instinct that told him to be cautious had been muffled by his fatigue. He would have to mention something to his superiors later. Rowan sighed and continued his walk to the apothecary, wondering why he was so unlucky every time he tried to flirt.

Mango hid at the edge of the building that was a little bit away from the pathway to the cemetery as Beau and a cloaked figure left, a little confused but after they walked far enough he stepped out and headed for the entrance, then went to go visit his mother's grave.

too tired to process things.... heh, how cute.. he thought from the glance he caught from the corner of his eye before disappearing, heading back to his gangs hideout.

Beau and Silver walked hand-in-hand through the streets, both of them pulling up their hoods. Silver pointed her face towards the ground in a desperate attempt not to be noticed and Beau occasionally glanced at her in worry. Her hand was weak in his and she looked more defeated than he had ever seen her before.
"How?" She asked hoarsely, as if afraid to speak aloud. He could hear the waver of fear in her voice. Beau took a left through the marketplace.
"I'm a semi-royal, Silvy. I heard that they were drafting in the area and I knew that they've been trying to get you on for years--of course the first thing I do is look at the list."

Jinx looked up in surprise to see her brother under the clear ring of the doorbell. Nervously she looked at Willow, who she knew wasn't quite ready to reconcile, but Rowan simply waved at her and slinked his way silently to the stairs. She saw the bags under his eyes and the way his back was arched and knew that he would be too tired to at least start any arguments.

Willow simply watched him, ears pinned back slightly until he was out of sight, then got up and went over to the front desk where Jinx was with an ear perked up and an ear drooped.
''is... your brother alright..?'' she asked quietly, a bit worried.
she may have still been angry at him for what he did, but she still worried about him nonetheless, even if she didn't admit it.

Jinx nodded, "Yeah. He's just sleepy; poor kid can't function on anything less than ten hours of sleep." She smiled to herself as she looked at the stairwell he had gone up. He's still a teenager in that regard.

Jack pointed ahead and then immediately whipped his hand back to his side in shame. She can't see, dummy, he chided himself, instead noting the structure to her verbally. "There's a church over there. It looks empty enough... what day is it?" He asked, knowing that religion wasn't popular in the area; it was most likely closed and, more importantly, empty.

Willow looked at the stairwell and grew silent thinking for a moment, her mind fighting with itself before she looked at Jinx again.
''you have a kitchen upstairs correct....? i could always fix some tea to help him sleep'' she said.

''i'm not really sure what day it is....'' she mumbled, ears slightly drooped as she followed him.
Crystal hated being blind, to her it felt worse than death itself at this point.

Jinx didn't make an effort to stop the mild surprise that lifted her face. More forgiving than I thought, she noted to herself as she nodded in response, glad that Willow was willing to reconcile so quickly. "Go ahead~ I think our kettle is still on the stove from this morning, and both the mugs and tea are just on the kitchen counter."

"Well, there's a one in seven chance that it's not Sunday," Jack replied, looking ahead as he stifled his pessimism. We've already been unlucky enough, Jack thought darkly as he looked over at Crystal's eye. His grip softened with worry when he noticed the slouch in her ears. "H-hey now, it's alright. We'll find another shelter if it doesn't work out, there's always a place around the corner; I've been doing this kind of stuff for years." He pursed his lips. "Wait, are you hurting? Is that it?"

Willow nodded and looked over at where Yuzuki is, holding her hand out in his direction.
''Yuzuki come here'' he said softly yet loud enough for him to hear, Yuzuki running over and grabbing her hand while hugging his red panda plushie.
she headed for the stairs and led the way, picking him up once they were there and looked over at Jinx.
''he may have sprained my wrist, but i know how it is having trouble having sleep'' she said, heading upstairs with Yuzuki.

''i'm alright Jack, i just... hate being temporarily blind.... it's worse than death itself in my opinion and it's a liability when your on the streets'' Crystal said, flicking her tail as her ears lifted slightly and flattens out more.
she huffed and rubbed the back of her neck, teeth clenched slightly.
''it pisses me off tremendously that i can't see.... and there is a fifty fifty chance i'll be half blind anyway considering how that jackass clawed me... i wanna go back there whenever i'm healed and make him pay..'' she growled quietly, her built up emotions slowly seeping out.

Rowan had stopped by the living room to put his coat up when he heard the footsteps drawing closer. "Jinx," he mumbled sleepily, not able to shake it off his mind, "was there a rabbit that came in earlier? I--" Rowan trailed off into silence when he realized that there were two sets of footsteps instead of one, and stopped himself just as he was about to remove his firearm from his pocket. He paused for a moment to look over his shoulder with intense blue eyes, which softened when he realized it was just Yuzuki and Willow.
He slipped his hand away from his trench coat and cocked his head slightly with interest. He was too weary to be mad at her, although he wasn't sure if he had been mad in the first place; Rowan's feelings towards Willow was generally a muddle of emotions that he didn't have the time nor care to decipher.
"Are you looking for something?" He asked softly, barely audible.

Jack pursed his lips tightly, wanting to stop her from saying such negative things, but figured that it would be better to just let her talk. His face blanked with solemnity when she mentioned revenge, to which he took a deep breath and nodded curtly. "Okay. Whatever you want--I'll help you. But just try not be pessimistic, okay? It'll make the healing process unbearable, and I'm absolutely sure your eyesight will be fine."

Yuzuki waved at him as he stood at the top of the steps and Willow stood a couple steps down, staring at him with her ears perked in his direction before one swiveled backwards flat, then whispered to Yuzuki and ushered him off to go sit into the kitchen.
Willow watched Yuzuki go to the kitchen and kept an eye on him until he was out of sight and turned her attention back to Rowan, raising an eyebrow as her other ear flattened, then she climbed fully up and walked over to him to tug on the collar of the trench coat.
''get that off and lay down before you kill someone...'' she grumbled quietly so Yuzuki didn't hear, having sensed the threat of a weapon hidden away in a pocket.

Crystal huffed as her tail whipped around occasionally, letting her shoulders slump and her ears shift forward a bit to droop as she just grew silent, to tired to deal with anything anger related.
''whatever...'' she mumbled quietly, stuffing her free hand into her pocket.

Rowan grazed his tongue over his front teeth when she touched him and bit it softly, closing his eyes and remembering why he had snapped at her in the first place. "The safety is on," he hissed back, "and you clearly know it'd be dumb to prance around these streets without protection." Rowan's narrowed eyes rested on her baseball bat for a second as he grudgingly shrugged off his coat.
He rubbed his eyes as he slipped his sneakers off and, with his head laxly tilted to the side, looking over at Yuzuki. "Do you need help looking for something?" He asked again, reaching behind his head to tug his hairband off and encircle it around his wrist.

she took his coat and folded it over her arm, then sat it neatly onto the arm of the sofa.
''for your information i was on a delivery.... you just happened to interrupt it......'' Willow grumbled under her breathe, taking a deep breathe before sighing.
she looked back up at him with a bit more of a calmer expression and hugged her elbows a bit.
''i came upstairs to fix you some tea Rowan... i can understand having trouble with not sleeping well some nights.... just go sit down and i'll bring it to you when it's done'' she said, turning and headed for the kitchen to get the tea made.

(they argue like an old married couple and i love it, lol)
